Old screens are phyically bigger which could not be mounted in any MZ/ZX 
bodies. Cutting or filing a focus screen was a tough job because you can 
only handle it by the edges, and all 4 edges must be filed by the exact 
amount. Consider the original screens for the MX and LX are significantly 
darker than the C74 (MZ/M screen), it would make the already pretty dim 
ZX/MZ-5n viewfinder even darker. I would not recommend this approach at all. 
If you want split image screen, the C74 is the best option IMO. Just beware 
that you won't be able to use spot meter at all afterward (compensation 
won't work).
