My not being able to be tested is not at all surprising  - there are simply not enough tests available and if I were not symptomatic it would come up negative anyway we are told.  We try to stay a-political here on the list but there are a few reasons there are not more test kits or test sites and they lead back to our   ... well, you know who. If I get the typical symptoms I'll stay home and take care of myself  - I've had my pneumonia shots and I'm really quite healthy.  Have neighbors and friends who will check on me while keeping their distance. I'm more worried about the neighbor who was with me that day and is sick now, but getting better - she appears not to have  the key symptoms of #19 but has allergies on top of a head cold.

I couldn't be tested even if I wanted to here because I have no symptoms...
I'm surprised you're not able to be tested. I know someone who's been tested
after being in contact with someone who subsequently tested positive. They
have no symptoms but are self-isolating until the results come through.

We currently have 11 known cases in NZ and the country is grinding to a halt with
lots of events being cancelled. The government is taking it very seriously with
all inbound travellers being required to self-isolate for 14 days under threat of
deportation. Gatherings / events of > 500 people are no longer allowed.

Haven't seen much in the way of panic buying here except for hand sanitiser and
antibacterial soap. There was lots of TP in stock the other day.

Cheers,
Dave
