If youve tried the other suggestions and still no joy, how about
# the file system?
# whats in your boot file? (none of my business, I know, but a lot of
things zap QPC)
# directX?
# corrupt executive or disk?
QPC2v2f/SMSQ/2.98 hicolor work fine for me on w95/w98/w2k in most
modes, normally 1kx768.
