Excellent about the RDKit.

I had gotten distracted by the RDKit problems and didn't think about the
pillow mistake.

"import pillow" does not, I think, ever work.
Pillow is a fork of PIL, so it acts like PIL. The simple test is to do:
"from PIL import Image". If that works then pillow is fine.
