I have precisely come to the same conclusion yesterday and began to write a 
fix. It should be working in a few days.

The problem is coming from the anacrusis being processed for the first segment 
in the composition  with a \partial in the "global" part of the file but never 
(or erroneously)  processed for the following segments which require 
individual \skip.
