I don't see any difference in the resulting output off the top of my head. The first thing I notice is it's no longer possible to print/preview from the main window for some reason. The options are never enabled. I wonder when we broke that? I looked through that and didn't see any obvious problems, so I tried it out myself. I can LANG=fr and export things with the "Détenteur du copyright" string all day long, apparently.
