First, I would much rather have Michael on the team than switch to a VCS I
like better. I find his advice and contributions valuable. I've learned
a few tricks to make the git-svn bridge behave itself, so I'm usually not
feeling much pain from SVN's restrictions.
That said, if we do switch, my preference is for git. I use emacs' magit
on top of it, which I find to be a very comfortable arrangement.
