I have some concerns about proceeding at all now. People would be
justifiably annoyed with me if I created any bugs while coding a
(mis)feature most people don't want.
But I do like the idea of offering both styles. Rather than putting up a
dialog each time Notation is opened - again people would be justifiably
annoyed, and I'd be among them - I would prefer to do it as a user option,
defaulting to "never".
I will hold off on doing anything while I fully digest the idea.
