If you don't have very memory intensive applications which you perform in windows xp while running sage vm with 1 GB you should be fine. The best split between VM and host system depends on the actual load (i.e. what calculation you do in sage and what applications run in parallel in windows). > I also don't know how to change the base memory in Virtualbox ? if you start the Virtual Box GUI on the right side is the Category System.
