However if you look at enough of these surveys asking men what they want they often stress - independance, sense of humour etc. Do you ever see men saying I'd like to be a protector of women, a knight in armour etc I've heard of men actually looking for a working woman so that they'll be sure to pay half the mortgage. I think at the turn of the century men were dependant on women to feed them and clean up after them but nowdays they want a buddy, preferring the freedom of not having to conform to a ritual of being the breadwinner. They expect women to be intelligent and to get a life. I think they fear being bored with someone, so the woman is obliged to be interesting every minute as it's so easy to get another partner. Personally I think men nowdays want too much compared to what they are offering women. We now worry whether they will end up being dependant slobs, so the tables have turned! June ;-) Actually, I'm just a naive marginalised victim of a post masculine society dominated by New Age women who beat on sensitive men because they have not the courage to tackle the real brutes that made them that way. Its a common theme now done to death - the suffrage of women - the absolute backlash is as you explicitly suggest, the inevitable psychological castration of the sensitive victim male - its a rather brutish philosophy in itself this 'Womanism' - Personally I don't think that the womens movement is quite the Goddesses gift to the planet that they think it is - [but thats just my opinion] - for they have gone about marginalising the sensitive man in the same brutish and masculine way that brutish men marginalised women. There is plenty cultural evidence to back this up - eg. a recent Jeans advert has a naked male lying prone with his Jeans down and a women with her stilleto poised above the guys anus. Women are being seduced by the 'dark side of the forceful masculine power trip' I don't think Margaret Thatcher quite appreciates the immense role model she is for 21st century womanhood mind you, I'm just one of those 'sensitive guys' [imo] Andrew. -Caveat Lector- Well said Andrew!! It could be a biological problem too. I think the femininization of men today is to do with what hormones have been put into their bodies artificially. I mean woman used to take the pill in the 60's with 300 times the bodies estrogen and then go and have a baby. Then we have plastic containers and weed killers which have an estrogen effect on the body, not to mention all the hormones in the milk and meat. Plus all the soy products added into the food with estrogen. The Thames river in London is full of it. This is because women take the pill and then they flush it down the toilet and then it goes in the drinking water again which comes from the Thames. It is indestructible. Men drink it. I can't for the life of me think how women could have gotten so masculine :) maybe it is the constant barrage of movies producing too much adrenalin. I won't go to a movie unless it has a thrill a minute. I've become an adrenaline junkie. Armageddon, Star Wars, Soldier. -Caveat Lector- where ??? :) can you get some some phone numbers ? but wasn't the 'american woman' almost archetypically amazon in the eyes of international popular media culture the 'mother in ;law' - the hen pecked husband etc etc - isn't 'girl power' another nail in the coffin of the cultural move to make the duality of sex redundant - I saw one ad in UK newspaper - of a cool executive girly and the text read - 'I have the perfect job, the perfect life ... now all I need is the perfect sperm.' In the UK, the bias of education and effective lives has swung in the favour of the female - and more men than ever are becoming redundant as a result of social education and policies. Illiterate school leavers are predominately male in the UK. The NWO social engineering angle is that the Next Race will be hermaphroditic. Smash the family unit - individualise the sexual process - take total control of the reproductive process - implant the results - and bingo - you've got the perfect well adjusted factory unit.
