[Audyssey] exciting free games - are there such things?

2008-11-02 Thread Lindsay Cowell
Hi folks, I would like to apologise to any developers I might offend with this
message, but are there such things as exciting free games with a lot of action?
I ask this as I am on a low income and would like to build up my collection of
free games.

Re: [Audyssey] rail racer questions

2008-11-02 Thread Che
Hi, this is Che, the developer of rail racer, sorry for the delayed
response, been busy with other stuff the past few weeks.
Regarding multi player racing, you are given a list of tracks to race on,
once you select a track, it is started on my server and is open for other
racers to join. naming the race is not necessary, just let your friends
know what track to meet on. We have tested races with 20 players at once
with no slow down, although the average race is 3 or 4 players. as it
stands, you cannot limit the number of racers.
if you are used to top speed, rail racers MP racing isn't like that at
all. instead of connecting to another players computer to race, you connect
to my high speed dedicated server, which makes things much easier and more
reliable, no looking up IP addresses and all that.
as for a tutorial, i haven't done one, though I can if it is needed.
however, i do include MP instructions in the online manual, which can be
located at my site:

www.blindAdrenaline.com
From the feedback I have received from players, this is the best online
system currently available to us blind gamers, due to the ease of use and
reliability of the dedicated server, and will be the model for my upcoming
games, one of which should be released in time for christmas, so keep up
with the list here, as i will be announcing it here when it is ready for
play.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask, I will be checking the
list here more often the next few weeks.

 Take care,

Subject: [Audyssey] rail racer questions

Hi there,

Looking to order rail racer. Have some questions about multiplayer racing
and other things.

1. I want to get this for more than 1 computer. Are the keys computer
based?
2. When I join a game, do I get a list of games to join? Or if I start a
game, can I name it?
3. What if I'd only like to have 1 person race me? Is there a way to
control that?

4. What ports do I have to have open on my router when I start a game?
5. How do classes work? How much money to you get for getting in first
place? How many opponents are there in each race?
6. Does anyone know if Che's done a multiplayer tutorial- or am I missing
something?

thanks

Re: [Audyssey] exciting free games - are there such things?

2008-11-02 Thread dark

Hi.

while there are certainly games missing from it, the audiogames.net database
is being updated at the moment, and one thing you can do there is search for
audiogames by license type.

just go to www.audiogames.net and look under the search archive link, then
select freeware as the license.

You could also have a look at the games listed under donation sas those
are games that are quite free to play in full form, but accept player
donations to keep the games running and occasionally offer in game bonuses.

Hey there

Ok, so how do keys work? Say I wanted to get keys for 4 computers- how would
I tell you that? And do I have to buy each key seperate?

Ah, so when you select a track, that's how players know what to join- they
just get a list of tracks?

What if someone has, say, a gravitty puller, or super charger, and I don't?
Do we get put in seperate classes? - it would be a bit unfair if that wasn't
the case if I'm not mistaken?

This game looks awesome, waiting for pay pal to withdraw from my bank...2

[Audyssey] News about the Sarah game

2008-11-02 Thread Phil Vlasak

Hi Folks,
I have been promising people an update to the Sarah game for months.
I am planning a lot of changes, additions, and bug fixes.
However some of the bugs were caused by the old game engine itself.
Three weeks ago I got a new version of the engine from David Greenwood, but
when I tried it out, there were new bugs in the engine that David would need
to fix.

Then David went to get a new guide dog and will be back in a week.
This has delayed my working on the game.
While I was waiting, I started writing a novel based on Sarah's experiences
in the Hogwarts castle.
I am about half way through writing the story and will include it as a
separate text file in the next game patch.
I plan to send the first chapter to Audyssey magazine to be included in the
next issue.
As a teaser to changes and additions, I am adding some Peruvian darkness
powder, and a hand of glory.

I will also be adding a hedge maze next to the Quidditch pitch.
In the center of the maze Sarah will find a cup that will send her to
another place.

That's all I can tell you.
Phil

Well I'd really like a mud/moo you can do exploring, etc.
I don't want to mess with an rpg like holotrek because I am not
going to be
a serious all day gamer since this stuff is just for relaxation
really.
Until I can get my char reroled in humanity moo or they fix the
various
things that happen after death of the char then I really can't use
it, well

I can but I obviously don't have any objects at all.
Miriani is just becomming bad, and I never stayed on it long enough
to

really enjoy it, I hardly mastered it.
And the rest, slipgate legacy, etc seem to be offline or going
offline.
One thing that was mentioned on the squidsoft community was a moo
called
milkeyway 2306 or something, is this still opperating or is this
gone to.
I'd really like something that has a scifi feel to it, for casual
play.
Also I wander what happened to star conquest there aparently is
supposed to

be a new version but www.squidsoft.net just yealds a blank page.
If scc comes back up I may just join that.
I managed to read the last ever log, although it sounded quite
rough at

least it was semi interesting.

Hi.
So what moos are out there for scifi users.
I'm not going to spend hours and hours of my life playing but I need
something to waste the ocational hour or 2 when things are just
going
nowhere. all the squidsoft stuff is gone, holotrek is a rpg and I
doubt
I'll ever complete a bio, etc because I really will not play that
much.

Then well the squidsoft stuff has gone away and I really don't like
miriani. Slipgate legacy is shutting down, and humanity moo is
still in

alpha and well not that I mean something by it but is there a good
space mud out there guys. maybe exploration etc. Or is this my
lot. I

don't care for the standard hack and slash muds either.

[Audyssey] Accessible Game Devices

2008-11-02 Thread Marvin Hunkin
Hi.
thought i would introduce my self.
my name is marvin hunkin, 43, live in devonport, tasmania, australia.
now, have been playing accessible games for a few years off and on.
and before that, played general games at the local arcade and the roller
skating rink in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.
like pacman, space invaders, galaxian, indonapolis 500, etc.
and then also in the department store at John Martins in Adelaide,
Australia, which is no more, would test the atari console with the latest
games like ten pin bowling, pinball, space invaders, demolition dearby,
indonapolis 500, galaxian, packman, etc.
now, as a almost totally blind person, here's my question.
was talking to some one last night, and they asked how i would play games on
a normal console, which has touch screens.
like the play station 2, 3, psp, playstation portable, nintendo ds, we, and
the x box.
and would it be possible to have any text to speech engines, built into the
console or the games.
always wondered about this, the game manufacturers could tap into another
market, the blind and visually impaired.
what do other members think, and could it be done, some sort of software or
hardware development, or add-on?
just wondering.
cheers Marvin.

Re: [Audyssey] HumanityMOO Temporarily Down

2008-11-02 Thread Tyler Littlefield

Sean,
This is just me, but IMO you don't release a game for alpha when there's so
many bugs.

Get a select few people to test the small things, and run from there.
If you just say hey, it's open, come on in, the first appearance is going to
kill things.
If I log on and see 10 bugs it's not going to give me a very good idea of
the game, actually I'd be more likely to quit and never return again.:)

On the subject of dissaggreeing with games there are games that I really
don't like.
And to me they really suck, however the games are not the issue, its just
that for me they are not the right ones.
ie light tech interactive boppit or sonic invadors, and a couple others
for sertain reasons are just not my type and therefore I don't play them
although I do try to try every game but I don't complain about them.
on the subject of the humanity moo, I do aggree it is crappy right now but
what people are forgetting in the heat of the moment is that the game is
still alpha.

So if its crappy thats why, its still in its first stages.

Hi.
jfwapi.dll. You can generally find one of these in c:\windows\system32
this makes jaws talk, you also need comaudio.dll, also found there
generally. comaudio is used in miriani6 to play the sounds. If you want to
support window-eyes you need gwspeaks.dll, found on the gwmicro site.

Hi,

I'm a little confused at what your trying to get at.

Are you asking if you modify the soundpack in some way, will the previous
one be deleted? If you use win rar, that should be the case- win rar has a
nifty little extraction function, and if you make an sfx archive you'll be
good. It puts the miriani6 folder in a .exe file, and extracts it to monkey
term, or wherever you want it to go. Quite neat.

Re: [Audyssey] sArah game./

2008-11-02 Thread Phil Vlasak

Hi Charles,
I hate to correct you as you are so smart, but I developed the game and
Draconis sells it.
I would sell it myself if it didn't cost so much to get a credit card
system.
I was quoted that the cost would be $100 for the setup then a charge of $50
per month so without selling a single game I would have to spend $700 in the
first year and $600 every year in the future.
As Draconis already has a credit card system I didn't want to do the same
when they were willing to sell my game for a percentage of the price of each
game sold.

No. Slipgate was Josh's attempt at recreating a better GWSE. He was one of
maybe 2 or 3 former Squidsoft hosts on that project. The Miriani answer to
GWSE I believe is called Stellarum or something, and is still in

Hi Marvin. I'm not familiar with how the x box's OS is set up, but I
think

that would be possible. However, I wouldn't hold your breath. The market
of gamers who are blind who own consoles is too small for any company to
even consider it.
It's sad, but true.

Re: [Audyssey] scifi moo

2008-11-02 Thread James Homuth
GWSE was good, but there were parts of it that were broken. The host who
developed Slipgate though didn't like a lot of things about it. He wanted to
essentially take GWSE's space system, improve it, and build his own plotline
around that. I don't know what Miriani's doing with their copy of the GWSE
base so I can't say, but like Star Conquest, if and when it does open up to
the public I don't expect we'll see too too much different from the
original.

 Subject: [Audyssey] scifi moo

 Hi.
So what moos are out there for scifi users.
I'm not going to spend hours and hours of my life playing but I need
something to waste the ocational hour or 2 when things are just
going nowhere. all the squidsoft stuff is gone, holotrek is a rpg
and I doubt I'll ever complete a bio, etc because I really will not
 play that much.
Then well the squidsoft stuff has gone away and I really don't like
miriani. Slipgate legacy is shutting down, and humanity moo is still
in alpha and well not that I mean something by it but is there a
good space mud out there guys. maybe exploration etc. Or is this my
lot. I don't care for the standard hack and slash muds either.

Subject: [Audyssey] News about the Sarah game

Hi Folks,
I have been promising people an update to the Sarah game for months.
I am planning a lot of changes, additions, and bug fixes.
However some of the bugs were caused by the old game engine itself.
Three weeks ago I got a new version of the engine from David Greenwood,
but when I tried it out, there were new bugs in the engine that David
would need to fix.

Then David went to get a new guide dog and will be back in a week.
This has delayed my working on the game.
While I was waiting, I started writing a novel based on Sarah's
experiences in the Hogwarts castle.
I am about half way through writing the story and will include it as a
separate text file in the next game patch.
I plan to send the first chapter to Audyssey magazine to be included in
the next issue.
As a teaser to changes and additions, I am adding some Peruvian darkness
powder, and a hand of glory.

I will also be adding a hedge maze next to the Quidditch pitch.
In the center of the maze Sarah will find a cup that will send her to
another place.

That's all I can tell you.
Phil

[Audyssey] BrailleSoft Releases Bomb!

2008-11-02 Thread Louis Bryant
Hi all, BrailleSoft has released a new game called Bomb!

This is a mine-sweeper-like type game. How many squares can you uncover without
uncovering a square with a bomb? Originally written by Dan Zingaro for the
Freedom Scientific classic notetakers, it is now available for your Windows
Mobile powered PDA. Instructions are included with the game, and for PAC Mate
users and PM Omni users JAWS scripts are automatically installed during program
setup.
This program runs on the following devices:
PAC Mate 4.1 and earlier
PAC Mate Omni 6.0 and later
Other Pocket PC
and All Smartphones

You can download the game from BrailleSoft.net. Look under Either BrailleSoft's
PAC Mate Software for all PAC Mate specific games, and under BrailleSoft's
Windows Mobile Smartphone Software for all of our Smartphone games. If you own
a Pocket PC and it is not a PAC Mate, PAC Mate Omni or Smartphone, then either
link for you will do, however if it's Bomb you want you want to choose Other
PPC after choosing one of the above links. . HTH.

was wondering, as i had sight when i was younger, and played the arcade

so was wondering, would it be possible to have a external or internal text

psp, nintendo wii, ds, etc.
what do you think about this?

Lets not forget about Superdeakout. Dan Zingaro released it as freeware
when he went out of business and I can't think of a more action-packed

Re: [Audyssey] exciting free games - are there such things?

2008-11-02 Thread Thomas Ward

Hi Lindsay,
Can you define what exciting and full of action means to you? It is
difficult to answer this question because exciting and full of action is
pretty subjective, and is pretty much defined by personal preference.
That said I do have a couple of suggestions.

One you might head over to my web site
http://www.usagames.us
and download Super Deecout produced by DanZ Games. It is a great little
time waister, and is now free once you apply the official unlock patch
for it.
Another free game I like that might meet your requirements is Dark
Destroyer. It is a modern day Space Invader clone and is also free. I
haven't yet managed to put the links up for it, but you can download it
direct from

http://www.usagames.us/downloads/games/pb-games/DD-Setup.exe
Other than that I can't think of any others off the top of my head that
meets your requirements. As you have realised most of the free games are
along the board, card, or Bop It lines. The really cool accessible
action games such as Shades of Doom, Tank Commander, Lone Wolf, Sarah,
Packman, etc cost cash.

Lindsay Cowell wrote:

Hi folks, I would like to apologise to any developers I might offend with this

I ask this as I am on a low income and would like to build up my collection of
free games.

[Audyssey] Mach1 was exciting free games - are there such things?

2008-11-02 Thread Thomas Ward

Hi Jim,
Speaking of Mach1 do you have plans to add it to the self-voicing games?
It remains to be one of my favorite games you made. I'd like to see it
eventually have self-voicing ability with Sapi 5 like most of your other
games have now.

Smile.

Hi,
Oh, shucks. I had hoped this would be the news the patch has just been
released. You want your spanking now or later. Lol!

Phil Vlasak wrote:

Hi Folks,
I have been promising people an update to the Sarah game for months.
I am planning a lot of changes, additions, and bug fixes.
However some of the bugs were caused by the old game engine itself.
Three weeks ago I got a new version of the engine from David
Greenwood, but when I tried it out, there were new bugs in the engine
that David would need to fix.

Then David went to get a new guide dog and will be back in a week.
This has delayed my working on the game.
While I was waiting, I started writing a novel based on Sarah's
experiences in the Hogwarts castle.
I am about half way through writing the story and will include it as a
separate text file in the next game patch.
I plan to send the first chapter to Audyssey magazine to be included
in the next issue.
As a teaser to changes and additions, I am adding some Peruvian
darkness powder, and a hand of glory.

I will also be adding a hedge maze next to the Quidditch pitch.
In the center of the maze Sarah will find a cup that will send her to
another place.

That's all I can tell you.

Re: [Audyssey] Accessible Game Devices

2008-11-02 Thread Thomas Ward

Hi Marvin,
That is a good question. Technically the operating systems that are used
in those game consoles are fundamentally able to run a screen reading
device. However, since the version of Linux used in the PS3 and the
version of Windows that powers the XBox are extremely stripped down and
are so customized to the point no existing screen reader for Linux or
Windows will currently run on those proprietary versions of the consoles
operating systems.
While I think it is technically possible for Microsoft and Sony to add
screen readers to the consoles they produce they never will.
First, there is not enough demand for it. A few hundred or thousand
blind customers doesn't mean much when they sell to millions of sighted
people each year.
Second, a screen reader wouldn't work anyway. This is going to get a bit
technical, but there is a total difference in the way a standard Windows
application like notepad, Internet Explorer, Word, whatever displays
text and the way a vidio game displays text. In vidio games often times
the text is graphically drawn to the screen and is an image of text and
not text like in applications. That is why if you go out and buy a PC
game like Tomb Raider Anniversary Jaws, Window Eyes, and NVDA just say
blank, blank, blank, or graphic, graphic, graphic even though you are in
a game launcher dialog. That is because what is displayed isn't text but
graphics saying launch game, load game, exit game, configure settings, etc.
The only way to solve that issue is to rout the text directly through to
the screen reader through its API such as the Jaws and Window Eyes API,
or to inbed something like Sapi into the game which will announce what
graphical text has focus.
So bottom line what we need is not a screen reader per say, but a TTS
engine that all games for those consoles would include into their games.
I know of some engines like Cepstral that could be ported easily to
those consoles, but lack of demand and licensing costs makes it pretty
much unlikely.

Truer words have never been spoken. I have heard a lot about the Linux

If I remember correctly you could install linux on a Xbox and still switch
to playing xbox games. I think you had a boot screen at the start up.
Problem was, you had to get a mod chip and then find the flash for the chip
and software to make it all work. At the time the Xbox came out I was
already out of the Video Game biz. I used to Mod PS1's and other systems
for people. To be able to play out of state games and other things.

I have every system that was made since Atari up to the 360, only system I
don't have, and will not buy is the PS3. I love playing my Neo Geo. Street
Fighter rocks.

Re: [Audyssey] rail racer questions

2008-11-02 Thread Thomas Ward

Hi Tyler,
The game is smart enough not to let you race on atrack that is to
difficult for you. All of the various tracks have a class rating. If you
are only a class 1 or class 2 racer it won't let you race on tracks
that are rated class 3 and above. It is as simple as that.
As far as not having something all I can say is save your earnings from
the races you win. Do a lot of practice off line so that you can
purchase all of the upgrades you can before going on to a multiplayer
race that requires a certain upgrade to race a difficult track.
Now, as I recall if you are say a class 5 racer with all upgrades and
you play a multiplayer game with a class 1 racer some of your upgrades
will be disabled so you and the class 1 racer will have somewhat of a
fun and fair race. Rail Racer won't let a class 5 racer play with all
upgrades enabled on a clas 1 track with a new class 1 racer. It is smart
enough to even it out so the race is fair. It will be your skill and
experience that will give you the advantage on that track and not all
kinds of upgrades.
Now, Che can correct me on this because I am really not sure. I believe
if you want to install and play Rail Racer on 4 computers you must
purchase a key for each system. Che is using a hardware key system so
that his games aren't being abused and pirated.

Hi folks, I would like to apologise to any developers I might offend

this message, but are there such things as exciting free games with a
lot

of action? I ask this as I am on a low income and would like to build up
my collection of free games.

[Audyssey] A spacific chess question

2008-11-02 Thread Ron Schamerhorn
Hello fellow chess players

This might come as an odd question and I'm hoping there is a simple answer
to it. I own one of those tactile chess sets. What I'm wondering is there
a standard as to which colour squares are the raised ones? That is to say
are all the black squares raised or are the white?
The reason is sometimes playing the Spoonbill chess I can't help but
wonder since during a game the requested moves aren't always possible. Any
help is greatly appreciated.

2008-11-02 Thread constantine (on laptop)
Hmm blah--does this mean if I had a desktop at our cabbin I'd have to buy a
key for that one as well? As well as this laptop? Right now I don't really
have the money for 2 keys- so I'll leave it at one. So I can play offline-
my desktop has dialup internet and not really wanting to use that to play
online, unless of course its possible?

Hi Tyler,
The game is smart enough not to let you race on atrack that is to
difficult for you.

Phil

hmm free games with action.
Hmmm.
there is puppy 1 by jim kitchen if you call that action.
there is the tourniment game bpc has, thats action, and the 10 min 3d
verlocity game.
There is treasurehunt which is free to an extent.
Even though its a demo.
But there is no real free fps game.
usagames.us has startrek final conflict and there is sound rts.
there are the games by jim kitchen but these are not full on battle and the
spoonbill games which are just card games, etc.
You really need to buy the games or borrow them or something if you really want
to have full action.

that would be possible. However, I wouldn't hold your breath. The market
of gamers who are blind who own consoles is too small for any company to

what do you think about this?

the public I don't expect we'll see too too much different from the

Why take down GWSE, and have the same host try to make an equivalent. From
what I heard GWSE was a really good game, it should be put back up.

No. Slipgate was Josh's attempt at recreating a better GWSE. He was one of
maybe 2 or 3 former Squidsoft hosts on that project. The Miriani answer to
GWSE I believe is called Stellarum or something, and is still in
development. As in not open for connections last time I checked.

Well I'd really like a mud/moo you can do exploring, etc.
I don't want to mess with an rpg like holotrek because I am not going
to be a serious all day gamer since this stuff is just for relaxation
 really.
Until I can get my char reroled in humanity moo or they fix the
various things that happen after death of the char then I really
can't use it, well I can but I obviously don't have any objects at
 all.
Miriani is just becomming bad, and I never stayed on it long enough
to really enjoy it, I hardly mastered it.
And the rest, slipgate legacy, etc seem to be offline or going
 offline.
One thing that was mentioned on the squidsoft community was a moo
called milkeyway 2306 or something, is this still opperating or is
 this gone to.
I'd really like something that has a scifi feel to it, for casual
 play.
Also I wander what happened to star conquest there aparently is
supposed to be a new version but www.squidsoft.net just yealds a
 blank page.
If scc comes back up I may just join that.
I managed to read the last ever log, although it sounded quite rough
at least it was semi interesting.

Or is this my
lot. I don't care for the standard hack and slash muds either.

hmm free games with action.
Hmmm.
there is puppy 1 by jim kitchen if you call that action.
there is the tourniment game bpc has, thats action, and the 10 min 3d
verlocity game.

There is treasurehunt which is free to an extent.
Even though its a demo.
But there is no real free fps game.
usagames.us has startrek final conflict and there is sound rts.
there are the games by jim kitchen but these are not full on battle and
the spoonbill games which are just card games, etc.
You really need to buy the games or borrow them or something if you really
want to have full action.

Hi chris.

Dans games are stil listed with prices, but if you read the news on the
front page of Danzgames.com there's an explanation as to why they are
freeware, as well as some self-extracting archives to unlock the full
versions of the games.

Re: [Audyssey] Writing monopoly boards.

2008-11-02 Thread Thomas Ward

Hi Lisa,
I really don't see there is a need for a Monopoly board maker. Making
your own boards is very straight forward and easy. All you do is list
the properties on the board in descending order in a text file and then
save it in the Kitchensinc folder.
For example, here is a copy of my Lord of the Rings board I made a
couple of years back for Monopoly.

Bag End
Farmer Maggots Farm
Bill the pony
Buckle Berry Ferry
Winter Top
Bree
Ford of Bruinen
Staff of Gandalf
Rivendell
Caradhras
Asfaloth the horse
Mines of Moria
Lothlorien
Falls of Rauros
Gap of Rohan
Helms Deep
Edoras
Brego the horse
Fangorn Forest
West Fold
Staff of Saruman
Isengard
Osgiliath
Pelennor Fields
Minestirith
Shadowfax the horse
Barad Dur
Mount doom

I then took that list of properties and saved them in a file like
MonopolyboardLord-Of-The-Rings.txt and put it in the Kitchensinc folder.
As I said you should get the hang of it really quick. It isn't very
difficult.

Re: [Audyssey] exciting free games - are there such things?

2008-11-02 Thread Thomas Ward

Hi Chris,
Dan himself created a patch to unlock all of his games last May and
announced they were all going freeware so I can say for sure they are
all free.
Apparently Dan's web site is still up and if you look on the main page,
about half way down there is a notice that DanZ Games is closing and
there are patches for all of his games that turns them into ffully
registered versions.

My DanZ Games mirror page has all of the games and there patches as well.
So if anyone is actually selling the games they are ripping somebody
off, because they all went freeware about 6 months ago or so.

Hi,

Phil

While every designer of chess sets for the blind makes the board his or

[Audyssey] Fantastic 32-bit Computers and where to find them,

2008-11-02 Thread Phil Vlasak

Fantastic 32-bit Computers and where to find them,
Games we'd like to play
by Phil Vlasak
1. Spend a day calling all the computer stores in your area.
2. Bribe a friend to drive you to the ones who said they had a 32 bit
computer.
3. Start out at Best Buy who clamed to have a Compaq Presario SR5610F
Desktop PC.

4. It turns out to be a Gateway with 1 GB memory and too slow for Vista.
5. Go to Office Max who may have a 32-bit HP computer.
6. It turns out to be a 64 bit HP computer.
7. Go to Radio Shack who claims to have a HP Pavilion a6522f-b desktop PC in
stock.
8. It turns out that they can order it but do not have it in the store as
they only carry laptops.

9. Go to Aaron's Computer store who may have a 32-bit computer.
10. It turns out the store is closed on Sundays.
11. Go to Circuit City who claims to have a Compaq Presario SR5610F Desktop
PC.
12. It turns out that they only have one and it is a demonstrator model so
you will have to wait for an hour as they remove the Circuit City software.

13. It only cost $280 so you go out to dinner.
14. When you return, it turns out that they removed the software from the
wrong computer.
15. Make sure they have the correct computer which turns out is not a
demonstrator and costs $399.
16. As the store is closing, and they do not have enough time to update the
software, wait 24 hours to pick it up.
17. Buy gas as you have now spent five hours shopping for a computer and do
not have one yet.

18. Curse all the way home.
19. Take tums to quell your upset stomach.
20. Pray tomorrow will not be as bad as today.

Re: [Audyssey] rail racer questions

2008-11-02 Thread Che

 Hi,
Sorry, I don't think I made it clear in my previous post , (getting a bit
dsoft in the head in my old age), I try to be generous with folks that have
multiple computers, as I do myself, and it just isn't feasible to buy a
separate license for each, or really fair for that matter in my opinion, so
I allow an extra license for those with another computer, but you will need
to email me directly after purchase to receive it.
Also, I hope to have a new tournament started in the next couple of weeks
for all those that might be interested.

 Happy racing,
 Che

 Hi.
was wondering, as i had sight when i was younger, and played the
arcade style and the console based games, like Galaxian on the atari,
mario brothers, 1942, asteroids on the seiger, nintendo , etc.
so was wondering, would it be possible to have a external or internal
text to speech screen reader on these consoles like the x box, play
station 3, psp, nintendo wii, ds, etc.
what do you think about this?
 cheers Marvin.

Thus why I'm pushign for small changes. Like. For isntance. In the
current version of x box live there are various sounds for various events.
Also. The menus wrap, but if you hold down the left or right trigger button
you can jump to the top or the bottom of a menu.
Now with the new experience coming out on the 19th, I'm not sure how this
will effect it. But.. Hopefully the menu system will be even easier to use.

Here's hoping

Hi Liam,
Truer words have never been spoken. I have heard a lot about the Linux Geeks
that were putting Linux on there game consoles like the XBox, but it ended
up just being totally pointless in the end. After they did that the only
games there could run were the games made specially for Linux such as the
open source version of Quake, Pengwuine Command, Ice Breaker, Asteroids, KDE
Packman, whatever. It was really a useless piece of hardware after that.
Putting XP on your PS3 really amounts to the same thing. Big whoop. You got
XP on a Play Station. Now, go play your PC games on a console instead of on
a PC.

Thing now is. I think if you mod a 360, the console wil detect it and not
let you on live.

Hi ron.

I've seen a fair few tactile chess boards in my time, the majority have raised

i have however, --- in one make of tactile board seen one which was the other

So, assume the black squares are raised, and if that turns out to be wrong
you've obviously got one of the less standard ones.

sorry I can't be more deffinate.

Hello, my friends,
I am very sorry, but i want to ask you, if ever know, where I can find Fifa
2001. It is very good game for the blind, because the ball is on the left
side or on the right side and it is very good playable for us.

Hi Jason and Dennis,

Truthfully I have no plans to work on my football game. I had a problem
with punt returns. For some reason I could not keep it straight as to
side, direction and possession for the punt return. I tried and tried.
Just couldn't get it. I have a feeling I would run into the same problem
with an on side kick.

My Nephew rented a game system and a college football game. He brought it
over and I recorded it as he played it. That is where I got the sounds
for the game.

If I ever do take a look at the code again I will keep your suggestions in
mind.
