Same here. After restarting the server on Debian Linux (i686 on Linode), the game updated, went through the normal loading sequence (oddly, without replay, even though it worked prior to the update), and after loading the popfile (as indicated by a few warnings), the process hangs. Linux mine 2.6.39.1-linode34 #1 SMP Tue Jun 21 10:29:24 EDT 2011 i686 GNU/Linux Startup commandline: ./srcds_run -console -steambin /home/gmod/hlds/steam -game tf +map mvm_mannworks +maxplayers 32 -autoupdate -replay Log is attached. Same result every time. Server worked fine up until the update was out. All of our other Linux srcds servers are out of commission, either due to srcds crashing the entire server, or just hanging. If it happens in just one specific spot, that'd be the intended effect as the spot's ceiling is too low to successfully teleport a player, thus auto-destroying the exit and any level upgrades associated with it. Some custom maps are like that for some reason (map maker negligence?) when there's adequate space in HU and the exit still destroys. Thankfully, not all custom maps are like that. I don't think you quite understand what I am getting at... I'm talking about as assets (large stuff) move to a completed state, background update the clients leading up to release and have those things encrypted, then day of release just download the rest and decrpt the previous assets. I'm sure this could cut the package size in half or less, making download sessions way shorter and in turn delivering it faster. My linux servers are showing X/32 in the server list. My maxplayers is set to 32. When I set sv_visiblemaxplayers to 6, a playercount of 0/6 is shown in the browser, despite the number of players (and bots) actually in the server. Re: [hlds] Mandatory TF2, DoD:S, and HL2:DM Updates Released
Well, they claimed after CS:GO was announced and this happened, that wouldn't occur, however it has *Shocker*. Remember, if any shared content (materials/sounds/models) changes, CS:S will update as well. To the best of my knowledge, the last real CS:S update occurred on February 9th, the rest have been shared client changes. We're now 10 updates behind, 3 with 'announced' engine changes. Kyle.
