Re: [JAWS-Users] moving large amounts of files to another folder
If you have the first file that you want to move highlighted, and hold down the control key, as you arrow down, each file that you come to will read as unselected. Pressing the space bar while still holding down the control key will select the next file that you want to copy or cut. If you lift your finger off of the control key, you have lost what you have done thus far. Alternatively, if you hold dow the control + the shift keys together while focused on a file that you want to copy or cut, and press the Home key, you will select from your point of focus to the top of the list. And, by pressing the End key, you will select from the point of focus to the bottom of the list. Both Bobby and Kinson are correct. Re: [JAWS-Users] moving large amounts of files to another folder
George, I did that in my music list and it did not unselect. When you start with 1 using the example I noted earlier with 1, 3 and 5, since you are focused on 1, it is already selected, so continue holding the control key and use your down arrow key and when wanting to select another item, tap spacebar. Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty and persistence. Re: [JAWS-Users] moving large amounts of files to another folder
Jorge: I normally just do CTRL shift home, to select from the current location to the top, but Dennies solution does work, at least for me. Where is your cursor located when you perform the shift home command. I placed mine after the period of a sentence, then did shift home and verified the text selection and it worked. When the cursor is placed on a blank spot, it did not work. Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty and persistence. you can select the files, press control x to cut them (essentually moving them to the clipboard), navigate to where you want them to reside, and press control v to paste (essentially moving the files from the clipboard). if you find this too confusing, maybe someone else has a better way or can explain this better. - Original Message - From: Judy bunchkinb...@sbcglobal.net To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Tuesday, June 03, 2014 7:50 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] moving large amounts of files to another folder Hi, list, At work we download tons of books from BARD and have folders broken down by db numbers on a network drive.
