Having given the Android Netflix a whole heap of praise the App does
have a few twerks as does everything I guess.

When you’re playing content the controls such as payse etc seem to
disappear with Talkback though I’m sure they’re on the screen.

I can get around this by using the transport controls on my Bluetooth
keyboard which I do have with me most of the time regardless of what
Smart Phone etc I’m using so yes that’s a small thing to be aware of.

will have to see how navigation is, now that talkback navigation has

Looking for a program

2015-10-27 Thread Donald L. Roberts
I need help from other listers to locate an audio recording program
whose name I can't recall which I lost when a previous hard drive went
south.

This is an audio recording program which was very bare bones and would
only produce .wav files. The thing which made it unique is that it had
some sort of a built in automatic gain control which did not just
increase or decrease the volume at a fixed rate. It was extremely well
suited to voice recordings whose volume level fluctuated widely.

Thanks in advance for ideas.

Not yet as they just were made available for pre-order yesterday. I have one of

Hi!

Does anyone have one of the new Apple TV devices? I'm thinking about
that being one of my purchases early next year.

Re: Netflix Android App

2015-10-27 Thread Mary Otten
Well, I briefly looked at the Netflix app on my Nexus last evening, and
I must say, I didn't find the deal where you can swipe left and right
to different categories and up and down within them to work. But I
wonder if that might depend on your talkback gesture settings. For
example, the default set of gestures has left and right swipes for
previous and next item, and up or down swipes for the same, a silly
duplication of gestures on a device that is already limited in the
number of gestures you can use with the screen reader, but that's a
different post. It is customizable, so those gestures can be reassigned
in talkback, which is a great feature. So, the question: Dane, did you
change your talkback behavior for swipe up and swipe down to be
something different than the default of prev/next item?

Something that is worth considering (although it doesn't do anyone who has no
vision any good) but I would think that watching a video in "landscape mode"
probably looks better; this is probably why the default may be that way; just a
