I have to admit that phones today are pretty darn good cameras.
I don't have a K1, and I don't push the limits of my cameras
too hard, but I'm reasonably sure that the M1X is at least as
good as my K5 (and, most of the time, significantly better)
for anything I ask it to do.

The one thing I do occasionally miss is not having a second body.
But as I only *had* to use a second body once in all the years
(when my PZ-1p stopped working on a rainy day; the MX I had as
a backup wasn't in the least bit bothered by getting rained on)
I'm not losing a whole lot of sleep worrying too much about that.

Hmmm

BTW, there are a couple of lens caps sitting on my desk in Felton, but I don't
know which is to the 200 and which the 80-200. We need to figure out the

I'm going to have to look into some of the newer u4/3 bodies. I've gone back to

I'm almost certainly going to be clearing out my Pentax shelves soon.
Most of the stuff is pretty old, and probably not of a lot of interest,
but there are several nice items (FA* 250-600/f5.6, A* 300/f2.8, ...).

Basically I've got almost every bit of Pentax gear I've owned except
for my first Pentax - a Spotmatic II with the 50mm/f1.4 - which went
to a good home. Old film bodies (including 2 MXs), newer film bodies
(a PZ-1p and an MZ-S), and a few digital bodies (*ist-D, K10D, K-5).

There's also a whole raft of lenses of varying quality, and several
less common items (like a motor drive for the MX).

I'll post a full list once I've got round to digging through all the
assorted boxes containing camera gear.

I've been considering doing this for some time now, but it's hard to
part with gear that has served me well. But I haven't touched any of
the Pentax items for over a year, and my M1X outfit is a lot lighter
to carry, and gives me a range from 12mm to 300mm focal lengths in
just two lenses and one TC.

Hi Ann,

Sorry for the late response. Been outta town. I've been ok, getting
older sucks. I did enjoy the eclipse very much however, they are
always an awesome sight to see. Got a few pics with a 300mm + 1.4x
added on for a little extra reach. Hard to get a full timelapse, as I
don't have any kind of mount that tracks the sun's movement so had to
do manually.

Here is the list I sent out:

charger, battery

Pentax DA digital camera K5 - manuals, cables, box, missing charger and battery

Pentax lens 85 2.8 soft, caps

Pentax lens smc m 35 2.8 caps

Sadly, we don't have hundred pound notes. Probably soon...

And our money is plastic these days. I've never actually tried but I suspect
that it will not tear as easily as paper and, with wet hands, will be
impossible to rip. And you know what they say about taking scissors into the
shower.

For Sale Friday - Colorimeter

2020-11-13 Thread Paul Sorenson

Datacolor Spyder5 Pro colorimeter

Comes with the "+" software upgrade which includes:

 * *1-Click Calibration*: SpyderUtility menu commands provide a “quick”
launch directly to the “place sensor” calibration screen in the main
application. Once calibration is complete, the main application
quits automatically. A fast, easy way to recalibrate a screen with
minimal UI. (For a display to be enabled for One Click Calibration,
it must be previously calibrated by the main application, as One
Click Calibration picks up and uses the last calibration settings).
 * *Room Light Switching*: The main application creates a set of 3
profiles for low, medium, and high ambient room light. SpyderUtility
then switches between these automatically as ambient light
conditions in your room change. (You must keep the Spyder5 sensor
connected for profile switching to occur)
 * *Profile Management*: Advanced functionality in SpyderUtility lets
you identify and switch the display profile for your screen(s); as
well as rename, duplicate, delete, and show on disk.

50 USD + $10 shipping to US locations

Will negotiate international shipping

DISCLAIMER:  The May 2019 Windows 10 update (Windows 10, Build 1903) has
an issue creating and saving ICC profiles.  MicroSoft has issued a patch
addressing this.  In addition, Datacolor has provided a work around.
Since I'm a "belt and suspenders" person, I did the patch AND followed
the work around and had no problem creating and saving further profiles.

I should add that Vol 1 is 7 1/2 inches by 10 inches, and the other four
volumes are a bit smaller, 6 1/2 X 9 1/2. Also, there is a very neat stamp
on each title page with the name of the previous owner.

For Sale Friday - Ansel Adams Books

2019-12-27 Thread Daniel J. Matyola
I am in the process of closing down my law office and moving a lot of items
from there to my home office. I need to dispose of a lot of books and
equipment now in the home office, including a lot of photography stuff that
my son doesn't want or doesn't have room for.

One thing I am offering for sale is a hardcover edition of Ansel Adams' 5

except the dust jacket for vol1 has some tears and obvious wear. Images
are here:

I would expect it to be in the US$2K or more range. It is quite rare, and
the closest replacement that is available new is the 560/5.6 which is US$4K
and while AF, is not full frame, though my understanding is it will cover
35mm.

2019-11-15 Thread P. J. Alling
Keh.com has a copy on it's web site for just a hair under two grand
U.S.  in "bargain" condition.  Having recently bought a "bargain" grade
K-5II from them and finally discovering the reason it was rated bargain,
I can attest that any other seller would consider a KEH bargain as near
EX+.  I don't know what you think the condition of your lens is but this
is a starting point at least.

There are five for sale on ebay.co.uk at the moment with BINs between £1200 and

Fire Sale Friday

the 70mm LTD the equivalent of the 77 in everything but circle of coverage.

These are the SMC lenses, not the newer HD lenses
They have to go, so I am dropping the prices down to give away levels.

$275.00 takes the 35mm, $300.00 for the 70mm.

Take both for $525.00 as a package

These are both excellent condition lenses. They have been well cared for
and gently used. I live in a dry climate, so fungus is not an issue. The
lenses may have a small amount of internal dust that won't affect usability.

I am the original owner them

They will come with original hoods, and both front and rear lens caps,
though I will not guarantee that the rear caps are original. I might
have to send knock off caps.

The lenses will come in their original box with all original packaging
and documentation including the silica gel.

Lenses are sold on an as is basis, I guarantee that they work properly
when boxed for shipment.
Shipping will be at the buyers expense, I will ship at actual cost using
buyer's preferred conveyance, and at buyer's risk.

Paypal is a suitable means of payment, and funds must be received in
full prior to shipment.

Replying to this post indicates acceptance of my terms of sale.

You can't go wrong here, you need these lenses.
In addition, if I don't sell them I can't afford to buy food for my
dogs, and will have to start feeding them kittens.

Please, think of the kittens before you hit the delete button.

Reply off list if you love kittens and want to score some really good

2016-05-14 Thread Darren Addy
Hello,
I would like to offer $380 Canadian (shipped) for your 15mm LTD.
My U.S. zip code is 68810.
Also, I would need you to issue me a Paypal Invoice to pay from (which
would allow me to put it on a credit card, as my Paypal funds are low at
the moment).

Will pay once the invoice is received (this email address). Thanks for
considering it.

Respectfully,
Darren

They do mail order, but I believe you will be stuck paying our sales

For Sale Friday - redundant lenses

2016-05-13 Thread Stanley Halpin
No overlap between my list of lenses for sale and the one Bill recently posted.
No price competition here! Bill is selling APS-C lenses, I am still working
through which of those I may keep. But I have some other
redundancies/duplicates I need to move out.

In equipping my 645Z system I started by purchasing some A and some FA lenses.
I later decided that FA was the way to go. So I have 3 645 A lenses.

In addition, in preparing for the K-1 I bought a 2nd FA* 24/2.0 and a second FA
77u/1.8 Limited. Back story on the 24/2 and 77/1.8 at the bottom of this
message.

Lenses and suggested prices below. Contact me if you would like to discuss
further.

645 A 45/2.8 $125

645 A 150/3.5 $150

645 A 200/4.0 $75

PK FA* 24/2.0 $350 or $300

PK FA 77 /1.8 Limited $650 or $600

PK D FA 100/2.8 macro (not the WR newer version) $275

Sigma DG 150-500/5-6.3 $550

Backstory on the 24/2.0. I had one, sold it when I bought my first D-SLR, the
*ist-D. I missed the lens, bought another (used copy.) I have never been wild
about the feel of the focus ring, and it seemed way too large and intimidating
so I barely used it. Mark S. recently offered, and I purchased, his 24mm.
Comparing my old, his newer, they are about the same. Neither seems all that
“large and intimidating” after using 645 gear the last 1.5 years, the focus
feels ok on both. $350 for Mark’s, or $300 for my older one.

Backstory on the 77/1.8. I bought my original direct from Japan back during the
early production when the black colored versions were not being imported to the
States. Tried to sell it a couple of years ago as part of an effort to finance
the 645Z purchase. The buyer (Ecke on this list at the time) did a careful
inspection on arrival and spotted incipient fungus. So he got his money back, I
got the lens back and stashed it away. I recently noticed a repair service that
had very mixed reviews, but figured what the hey. I sent them the lens for
cleaning. It now looks and feels like new. But meanwhile I spotted a nice
champagne color 77/1.8 on eBay for a reasonable price. I don’t need both. I
would just as soon keep my original black (repaired) version but if anyone
wants to save a few bucks it is $600. Otherwise the newer Mint champagne
version would be $650.

For Sale Friday - A bunch of lenses.

2016-05-13 Thread Bill

Well kids, the time has come. I am hoping to sell my APS-C lenses.

I'm just in the process of getting some pictures of said lenses prepped,
and will have them on my website this weekend.

I have no idea if my asking prices are realistic or not, but they are in
Canadian dollars, and I am willing to entertain reasonable offers if I
am out of touch on numbers.

I am the original owner of all of them.

They will come with their original hoods, and both front and rear lens
caps, though I will not guarantee that the rear caps are original. I
might have to send one or two out with knock off caps.
They all work, I live in a dry climate, so fungus is not an issue, all
have normal amounts of dust internally. They have all been gently and
quite lightly used and have not been abused.

Lenses will come in their original boxes except for the 18-135. The
number next to the model ID is the number of pictures Lightroom says I
have taken with it.

Replying to this email indicates acceptance of my terms of sale.

Without further ado, I offer for sale the following lenses:

HD DA 20-40 209 $700.00

DA 10-17 93 $400.00

DA 12-24 423 $700.00

DA 15 LTD 228 $450.00

DA 18-135 402 $400.00
This is the kit lens that came with my K3. As such, I don't have an
original box for this one.

DA 21mm 368$350.00

DA 35mm LTD 584 $375.00

DA 40mm 717$200.00

DA 70mm 4327 $400.00

DA 55mm f/1.4 2470 $550.00

DA 60-250 1201 $1500.00
This lens won an all expenses paid trip to Japan within the warranty
period for SDM failure. It has been problem free ever since.

Please reply offlist if interested and leave subject line intact please.
I will send you a link to pictures shortly.

I thank you for your consideration

bill.

Re: For Sale Friday: lots of gear

2016-04-02 Thread Boris Liberman

Hi!

It turns out that the prices of Pentax gear have taken a plunge. So,
here are the asking prices for my gear, based on KEH prices.

K-5 + grip + battery + that eye cap - USD 350

Sigma 24-60 - USD 250

Sigma 17-70 - USD 200

FA 50/1.4 + hood - USD 200

Metz 50 AF-1 - USD 100

Ricoh GXR set - USD 250

All prices include EMS insured shipping and PayPal fees.

On 4/1/2016 19:08, Boris Liberman wrote:

Hi!

Well, ultimately I got bitten (or stung, or what is the term) by USD
700 with that DA* 16-50 affair. So, I'm pulling the plug on Pentax to
compensate for the losses. Oly EM-1 fully suits my needs.

Below is the list of gear that I'd like to sell. I don't intend to
make profit but I don't want to be taken advantage of either.

* Pentax K-5, with OEM battery grip and extra OEM battery. I am the
original owner. Galia (my older) was shooting with it too, but under
my supervision. Slightly more than 20k shutter actuations. Comes with
box and if you feel like it - original paperwork in Hebrew. It also
has OEM viewfinder magnifying eye cap. I may not have camera strap and
original eye cap. I will try to find them, but I cannot make promises.

* Sigma 24-60/2.8 - fast full frame standard zoom. Comes with hood,
original box, pouch and matching Sigma protective filter.

* Sigma 17-70/2.8-4.5 - the original, non-SDM version. Everything is
fine, but being my workhorse for few years, the crinkle finish has
starte to wear off. Otherwise - rather fine lens.

* FA 50/1.4 - I bought this one from William Robb. This is rather very
fine copy. It was brought fully to spec by Bill and it is a sharp copy
too. Comes with OEM lens hood.

* Metz 50 AF-1 flash. I am not 100% sure if it has the latest
firmware, but it has one that is fully compatible with Pentax K-5.
Comes with its native diffuser. I should also have its USB cable
somewhere. You might want to look up on the web, whether a firmware
upgrade is necessary to use it with K-3 and more modern cameras.
Really excellent reliable flash.

* Assortment of Pentax lens pouches. If you have any specific one that
you're looking for - let me know - I'll see if I have one.

* Somehow I appear to have FA 100/3.5 and FA 50/1.7 carton boxes. If
you need them for any reason - they're yours.

Also one non-Pentax item. I bought a bit more Ricoh GXR gear than I
really need.

* Camera body, AF 28mm module (18.3/2.5 lens), viewfinder, one extra
3rd party battery. Also lens adapter that turns the lens into 21 mm
one. Few points about this set:

- I'd like to sell it as a set, not to split it into parts.
- Due to known issue with viewfinder data bus, I glued the viewfinder
so that it does not flip out. So, it works as regular (D)SLR
viewfinder, motionless
- The module appears to have caught a piece of hair-like dust on the
sensor. It is in the corner, but it is there.
- I bough this set originally hoping to take advantage of the wide
adapter. However, the adapter is for smaller sensor Ricoh cameras. It
is original adapter, but on 28 mm module, the extreme corners are
softer that I would like. It may suit you quite well, nonetheless...

I don't set prices, again because I'd rather this gear stayed in the
PDML family. So, if you feel like it - give me a shout off-list and I
am certain, I will not disappoint you in terms of conditions.

Please notice, that for obvious reasons, I will not be offering
refunds or returns. Please be sure to ask as many/much questions as
you'd like - I will answer them to the best of my ability.

Re: For Sale Friday: lots of gear

2016-04-02 Thread Boris Liberman
Larry, I see two potential problems with what you propose:

1. Taxes on entering USA. If this is a big box with all sorts of gear
in it - won't your tax people be interested in taxing it?

2. PDML is not 100% American. There're some European PDMLers who
could, at least in theory, be interested in some of that gear.

Having said that - naturally, if there is interest in more than one
item and it comes from USA - I would of course look for trying to
arrange combined shipping.

For sale Friday: Pentax K-5, DA 21, DFA 50 macro

2013-10-31 Thread Boris Liberman

Hello. From the last week, unless for some reason you did not notice :-).

1. I have two K-5. One is mine, another is Galia's.

IMPORTANT: I'm looking to sell only one of them - I don't really care
which one, so you get to choose.

a. Galia's - we're the original owners. The shutter count is order of
12,000. There's a cluster of small scratches on the back screen caused
by frame of my eyeglasses. Has stock focusing screen. Other than that -
it is in proper order. Have firmware one version before latest.

b. Mine - bought from a fellow at PentaxForums. Has special focusing
screen for manual metering (blank, but relatively very easy to see
things in and out of focus). Has tiny chip off at the bottom of the
camera. If you remember previously I reported that I had strange shutter
behavior in one of my shoots. Since then - shot some 1,500 frames - no
issues whatsoever. Shutter count is around 8,500. Has latest firmware.

Each comes with Pentax magnifying eye piece. I also have the original
eye pieces and original boxes with all the cables and stuff.

You get to choose - European/American power cable, as I have both varieties.

Since I've learned that my eyeglasses scratch the back screen, I've
applied screen protector (you know, the sticky film that you cut
according to size of camera screen). Both cameras have now protective
films applied. I will include few more just in case. They're
sufficiently big so that you could use them for other cameras too.

I'm looking to get USD 500, which includes everything - paypal fees,
postage (will ship with EMS, fully ensured at face value). So that it
will be less than USD 450 net to me, which I think is a fair price to ask.

2. Pentax SMC DA 21/3.2 Limited - we're the original owners. Focusing
ring has some minimal scratches. Other than that - it is just fine.
Asking USD 450 (also all inclusive, so that it is less than USD 400 net
to me). Comes with all the original bits and pieces - the pouch, the
hood, the caps, etc.

3. Pentax SMC DFA 50/2.8 Macro - we're not the original owners. Focusing
ring has this slightly gray-ish coloration, probably result of
sweat/salt deposit from our hands. Given that the barrel is plastic and
it has two tubes design, there is minimal play of the barrel if lens is
fully extended to 1:1 magnification. Will include generic rubber hood.
Asking USD 400 (also all inclusive so that it is less than USD 350 net
to me).

I still have FA 50/1.4 and FA 43/1.9 that I am unsure about.

Pictures taken with this gear, pictures of the gear, anything else -
just ask.

If you think the prices are too high and yours are sensibly close - do
make an offer. If you'd like more than one item - I will gladly combine
the shipping and hence lower the prices accordingly.

Thank you.

Boris

For sale Friday: FA 20/2.8 and K-5 with Canon eeS focusing screen

2013-02-07 Thread Boris Liberman

Hi!

1. K-5:

I'm the second owner having bought it from a fellow from PentaxForums.
It comes with magnifying eye cap and that special Canon eeS focusing
screen that has been shimmed to correct position. The screen has no
marks whatsoever (except some dust and machining marks on the borders).
The focus pop is very good and I could use it with A 50/1.2. The problem
is that my eyes still tire too fast for me to make it comfortable. Also
this screen, unlike the stock one is more sensitive to the lens speed.
If you mostly shoot with kit lenses or slow lenses, I wouldn't recommend
you buy the camera, because the viewfinder will look rather dark.

Shutter count is approx 10K.

Cosmetically it is in very good shape with few exceptions:

1. I have applied the rear screen protective film having discovered that
the frames of my glasses scratches it. Nothing major but the rear screen
is not 100% clean of scratches. Looked at it few times - couldn't find
any dust beneath the screen though...

2. There is very minor bit of plastic (3 x 2 mm) that chipped off
approximate 1 cm to the left from the HDMI/PC AV/DC IN cover. I will
photograph it and provide the picture on demand.

I will include the original focusing screen. I will try to find the
original eyepiece. I may have no suitable camera strap for it but I will
look too. The original box is there.

Asking USD 650 which includes shipping and paypal fees. I will ship it
by EMS insured at full value.

Oh, and by the way the little plastic piece that covers the flash shoe
is in place :-).

2. FA 20/2.8. Recently it had a focus jam, that was fully repaired by
Pentax Israel. They replaced some parts in the mechanism and now it
operates as it used to - with slight change of resistance towards 0.4
mark on the focusing ring. I took few shots with it after the repairs
and AF is both fast and accurate. The repairs are covered by half a year

For Sale Friday

2013-01-10 Thread Boris Liberman

Hi!

I am not in any specific hurry but I'd like to sell:

1. FA 20/2.8 - recent focus jam fully fixed by Pentax Israel camera
service. The focus ring movement is uneven but so it was from the day 1
when I got this lens from a fellow on PentaxForums.com. The specific fix
is covered by Pentax Israel warranty.

2. Carl Zeiss Jena MC Flektogon 50/4 with Tilt Adapter. Big, heavy but
good. Unlike me you would have to have sharp eyes to accurately focus it
when it is tilted.

3. Starblitz 3601 DTZ - multi-dedicated (Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Minolta,
Olympus), supports (regular!) TTL and has two auto-modes.

4. Metz 40 MZ-2 with SCA 3701 and SCA 372 modules - big, built like a
tank but reliable.

By the way, DA* 16-50/2.8 has been sold to another Israeli! PDMLer who
so far appears to be lurking... I would very much appreciate if they
delurked though ;-).

Please contact me off-list. I have my own ideas as to the price of these
items, but I would obviously be willing to entertain your offers.

For sale Friday (FA 20/2.8, soon - DA* 16-50)

2012-12-20 Thread Boris Liberman

Hi!

I need to downsize my photo gear...

1. The FA 20/2.8 is again for sale. Last month it had a focus jam, that
was fully repaired by Pentax Israel. They replaced some parts in the
mechanism and now it operates as it used to - with slight change of
resistance towards 0.4 mark on the focusing ring. I took few shots with
it after the repairs and AF is both fast and accurate. The repairs are
covered by half a year warranty by Pentax Israel. I am not certain if it
can be claimed abroad.

Full review of this very lens is here:
http://www.pentaxforums.com/reviews/pentax-fa-20mm-f28/review.html

Asking USD 700 which covers everything - fully insured EMS shipping and
PayPal fees. Or make me an offer.

2. I have decided that I don't want the DA* 16-50/2.8. Instead a Sigma
17-70/2.8-4.5 is on its way to me. If (and I hope it happens soon) it
arrives safely - I will use a pair of lenses - this Sigma and Sigma
24-60/2.8 for my standard zoom stuff. So DA* 16-50/2.8 has to go.

It is in very good condition with only very slight signs of use, which
is mostly graying of rubber rings crevices, probably caused by the salt
from my hands. Everything works as it should - the previous owner
claimed no SDM problems and I had none either. Please realize that I
cannot offer returns and I don't know if and when the SDM motor may
decide to play up. But really - it's seen only relatively moderate use -
about 5000 exposures in my collection, so I hope it is a safe buy in
this respect.

Asking USD 700 which again covers everything. If you buy both FA 20 and
this lens it will be USD 1300 for both.

Please contact me off the list if you're interested.

For sale Friday - Pentax K-7 with extras

2012-04-27 Thread Boris Liberman

Hi!

Since I sincerely don't need the K-7, it is offered for sale.

Included is/are?!:

* K-7 (approx 15,000 shutter activations)
* Installed and shimmed - Katz Eye (regular, not optibrite, no markings)
focusing screen. There're some marks on the screen caused by its
installation process. They don't appear to have any effect on anything.

* 3rd party battery grip
* Magnifying eye-cap.
* Original battery, original focusing screen and original eye-cap.
* Since my second K-5 was bought in US - you get to choose which power
cable you want - either European/Israeli or American.
* It will be shipped fully insured via EMS (the only express mail
integrated in our local system). If you want the likes of FedEx or UPS -
I will need to inquire as to the procedure as I am not familiar with
these as a sender.

* I will absorb the PayPal fees and shipping charges.

Lowering the price to USD 600 (inclusive of everything). If you're
interested but the price doesn't suit you - make me an offer.

Thanks.

Hi!

* Katz Eye (not optibrite, but regular) *shimmed* (*) screen without any
markings

* O-ME53 viewfinder magnifier
* Original viewfinder ocular
* Original focusing screen
* (Optional at no extra charge): 3rd party battery grip with rather worn
markings but fully operational otherwise

PayPal fees (I think it will be order of 5% in my case). Shipping will

For Sale Friday

2012-04-06 Thread jtainter
I've just ordered a K-5, and planned to sell a couple of lenses to pay for it.
I'm selling these because I have the Pentax versions (FA* 400 F5.6 and FA*
80-200 F2.8).

The lenses are:

Tokina AT-X AF SD 400 F5.6. This is an ultra-light, autofocus 400 mm lens
that's been described as a bird in flight lens. It is easily hand-holdable.
Photos taken with it are sharp and full of contrast. The old Photodo site rated
it equal in sharpness to the FA* 400 F5.6, except that it was a bit weaker wide
open. My copy of it is excellent mechanically and optically. It does have some
scuffs around the edge of the attached lens hood. One of these sold recently on
eBay for about $650. Because of the minor cosmetic impairment, I'll offer this
copy at $550.

Sigma APO EX 70-200 F2.8. Autofocus. This is the older, excellent version
before Sigma began to mess around with the optical formula. It is an almost
unbelieveably sharp lens, better than at least some of Sigma's later versions.
It is perfect optically, mechanically, and cosmetically. $450.

Shipping will be at cost. I will need to get buyers the final total. I'd prefer
to ship within the U.S. or Canada, but would ship to established PDMLers
elsewhere. Payment can be through Paypal or Western Union.

If interested, contact me at:

jtainter at mindspring dot com

Thanks,

Joe

Hi, all,

I’m rationalising my photo gear, and have some Pentax bits to go. I have not
sold through this forum before, but I have 100% feedback (122 items) at Ebay:
http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/dundertech (and I’m sure Godfrey will vouch for me).

FA135/2.8 - asking £250. Photos: http://gallery.me…uldunderdale/100218

FA20-35/4 - asking £200. Photos: http://gallery.me…uldunderdale/100226
The filter-adjusting door on the lens hood is missing (recognise this, Stan?),
otherwise all is good.

FA50/1.4 - asking £175. Photos: http://gallery.me…uldunderdale/100233

K10-D body - Recent examples on eBay UK have fetched more than £200, so I’ll
take £175. There are all the bits that came with it, two spare batteries and
the Bourque book ‘Pentax K10-D: Everything you need to know and then some’.
Photos: http://gallery.me…uldunderdale/100234

RMSD (insured/trackable) at cost. Payment by PayPal (gift).

Thanks for looking.

Sorry, I missed the cutoff by a bit.

SMC Pentax F AF Adapter 1.7X

I have one of these that I am selling. I bought it about 12 years ago as
'new old stock.' Since then, I might have used it a dozen times at most. I
just don't think about it when I pack my camera bag.

It's like new, with caps, carry bag, even the original plastic bags. The box
is a bit faded from sitting on the shelf for so long, but that's the only
wear. It deserves a home where it will be appreciated more.

If anyone is interested, please email me offline.

Pentax A20mm 2.8 really nice condition. Genuine front and rear caps,

Also exc + K 50mm 1.4 with trick lens hood suitable for 1.5 crop sensor

pics by request

Sensible offers and will post to PDML members just about anywhere with these.

Just to be clear, I have 2 lenses for sale: A20/2.8 and K50/1.4.

The lens hood that I have with the K50mm is a lens hood that is designed
to fit with several other lenses: the 85mm f1.8, the 100mm f4 and the
105mm f2.8 lenses. Basically, when the 50mm lens is used on a DSLR with
a 1.5X sensor, the effective angle of view of the lens is reduced -
giving one a 'tighter' crop - consequently a longer lens hood can be
used. So the 52mm clip-on lens hood designed for those lenses listed
above, works beautifully with the 50mm lens. It also clips on reversed
as well, for easy carrying. Hence, anyone wanting a great portrait lens
for their Pentax DSLR would find this combo excellent: 50mm f 1.4 and
slightly longer lens hood - great for portraiture.

2008-08-15 Thread ann sanfedele
Well, after much consideration i decided that I need to part with my
 SMC 100 macro - Asahi Penax - f.4
This was my favorite lens, but even with the converter for my darkside
camera I find I'm not using this
and it is a great lens...

No fungi - good glass - but the outside of the lens is beat up - nicks
on the threads in front and worn places on the barrel but
not where any information is... I'll scan it / photo it if you are
seriously interested in it and need to see it...

When shooting with my film cameras this was my very favorite lens - won
my first Kinsa award with it.

I'd like $100 for it, including shipping in USA... in the best of all
possible worlds...

For Sale Friday: SF-1 and Super Program

2007-11-23 Thread David J Brooks
Hi Gang.

I have, half heartedly, offered these up in the past and am doing so again.

SF-1: KEH has one in bargin condition for $35.00. I think mine is in
that range and will sell for this. I have not used it for several
years, but it worked fine up until storage.

Super Program: KEH has on in Ex condition for$ 98.00 but mine is more
in ok condition. Worked fine until storage a few years ago. Did a
wedding with it in 2002 and with AF280T worked great. The lock switch
does not, and when you press the shutter 1/2 way to activate the
meter, you have to find the sweet spot but it does/did work.

Other than that its in pretty decent shape. Stored in my Lowpro for
about 3 years now. Last used around Oct 2004. Shot a few rolls of
slide film.
Asking $75.00 for this. Since our dollar is pretty much at par with
the US dollar, take your pick.:-)

Shipping is extra, and would preferr to deal with North American
buyers, but will try and accomadate buyes outside this zone. Its more
for th eshipping, its pretty dear, and may not be worth it.

For Sale Friday: SP and SF-1 and SP1000

2006-02-10 Thread brooksdj

  Hi Troops.
The wife is really getting on my case about all my gear lying around our 859 sq
foot
home,so i quess it
is time to start parting with stuff i don't use anymore.
I'll offer it here first. If no takers i;'ll try my hand at selling on ebay.
I'v never
sold anything ebay before
so i'm a bit nervous about that.

Super Program. Still in decent shape. Meter is quite accurate. Only problems i
can see
with it is the lock
lever does not lock anymore and the meter switch is a bit finiky, but find the
sweet spot
and it works
fine. Chain store selling for $125-$145 Canadian
I'll ask $100 Can

SF-1. Its a bit on the bargain side but works well. I have tape on the dx
window as thats
were i
thought a light leak was. It was in for inspection and the tech found no
problem with foam
etc,but no
leak since the tape.
Flash works but the camera is very noisy. No body cover with this one. I'm using
my istD
one at the
moment.
Chain selling for around $100 Can or a bit more.
I'll ask $80 Can

Shipping insurance etc extra. I can only acept an International MO(Pink one)
and i'l
accept a cheqe from
known PDMLers.

Also have my Dad's old SP1000 i think it is and 55 lens. I had the meter and
shutter
speeds checked out
after his passing. The meter is still a bit wonky, the shutter speeds seem
ok.Sell as is.

I'll have a look at the lens, i think it was in decent shape.
How's $80.00 Can for that.

For sale friday

2005-11-25 Thread Lucas Rijnders

Hi all,

Some odds, ends and lenses I don't need anymore.

Original Asahi Pentax reverse adapter ø49, in original box. € 15,00

Extension tube set, consisting of a front and back part with 'male' and
'female' K-mounts and two intermediate rings. All parts screw together.
This set-up allows for four different extension lengths. € 20,00

SMC Pentax-FA 70-200 1:4-5,6 + skylight 49mm, both caps. It's the
powerzoom version of the lens. I am the first owner since may 2000. It is
in flawless condition. I'm only selling it because, after carefull
comparison, I decided I prefer the F70-210. When shooting the two lenses
normally side-by-side, I can hardy distinguish them. € 75,00

Sigma Mini zoom macro 28-80mm 1:3,5-5,6 Aspherical + both caps. Autofocus,
1:2 macro mode at 70mmm. I am the first owner since november 1997. Used,
but in good condition. This is the one Don likes a lot :o) €25,00

SMC Pentax-FA 28-70 1:4 AL (broken) + both caps. Very loose lens-front.
The way it moves suggests that the outer and inner barrels are connected
by three lugs, and that one of these has broken off. Sometimes the lens
jams when zooming or focussing. I always managed to gently get it
unjammed, but it suggests something is on the move inside the lens. Could
very well be the said lug :/
Optically, it is fine. No dust, scratches, fungus or element seperation as
far as I can see. Although it still takes o.k. photos, I think it would
mainly be usefull as a parts donor for a lens that does suffer from the
dreaded element separation. € 40,00

MZ-50 + manual (German), original Pentax strap (the one with the little
pockets) and a bodycap. Nice and light camera, in good condition. € 75,00

Russian 'Leningrad 4' lightmeter, in box, with manual. The needle does
move, but I can't seem to get it to work reliably. Your price is mine :-)

2x rechargeable 2CR5 with charger. Sadly, a Z-1 won't work on these
batteries, as the voltage is too high. Will probably work on more modern
devices. € 30,00

The caps mentioned are not neccessarily the original pentax ones. Mail me
for photos if you're interested in an item.

Prices are, of course, open for negotiation. The items will be well-packed
and shipped worldwide, at the actual cost (see www.tpgpost.nl for
tariffs). Payment preferrably by paypal (worldwide) or bank transfer (EU).
Cashing cheques involves considerable cost (about €20,-) that I will pass
on to the buyer. Moneyorders appear to be free to the recipient, but some
are cumbersome to cash.

It it 42 mm? Does the K mount go in and

other words does it release with the

For Sale Friday

2005-07-22 Thread Boris Liberman

Hi!

Having planned my major enablement, I also have planned a disablement of
sorts... Or should I say potential enablement for others...

Here for sale:

1. SMCP M 50/1.4. It has interesting problem. Aperture does not close
tighter than f/16. That is, you click but you see no change in size of
the iris opening... I hope it can be fixed easily. Or the lens can be
used as it is...

2. Takumar Bayonet 135/2.5... Yes, the one that many hold in a very low
esteem, but I don't ;-).

3. Vivitar 2x Macro Focusing tele-converter. Preserves KA mount.

4. Minolta MD Adaptall 2 mount.

5. Pentax M42 Adaptall mount. It has this pin that enables open aperture
metering, I believe.

6. Russian portrait lens Tair 11 a (in M42) 135/2.8...

Nothing really fancy, but for sale nonetheless...

The terms are simple:

1. PayPal... I have accepted Western Union money transfer couple of
times but prefer PayPal...

2. Upon receiving of an item, you get one week to test/inspect/play with
it. If for any reason you don't want to keep it, I get full refund.
Please notice, that I never sent any money through WA, though I believe
it to be possible. You will however have to ship it back to me and that
sum of money you get to loose.

3. I ship everywhere. To ship registered air mail with local postal
authority costs about $5-$10 depending on size and weight... To ship
with EMS is of course more... Naturally, I will charge only actual
shipping costs... Generally I don't see it a problem if I ship it to
your first and then you transfer the exact amount of money which
includes precise cost of shipping.

4. Naturally, further description and photos will be available upon your
request...

If there is anything you'd like, please contact me off-list...

Thanks.

Boris
