[amsat-bb] Pass prediction algorithm

2010-06-28 Thread Robert Felt
de KB5YZG I have had my SatPC 32 up and running for long time, all modules seem to work fine except the CAT. It wont take control of the Icom910H and track the doppler. When I designate a particular satellite and click on the C for CAT control, the s/w connects to the radio and the Icom

[amsat-bb] HF Satellite Relay

Heard today of a Passive HF relay satellite being proposed. Wondered if Hams could relay off of it. It's a 10m diameter sphere. I assumed a 10m signal and 1000 Watts And antenna gains at both ends of 10 dB. Unless I made a dumb error, it looks impossible? I get a received signal of -170 dBm

First, are you using a real serial port or a USB-to-serial adapter?  Second, have you confirmed that the software and the radio are both set to the same baud rate and device address?  And finally, what CAT delay setting are you using in SatPC32? Mine works perfectly with either type of
