www.BlindMiceMart.com has a talking thermometer good up to 572 degrees. That's the highest temp for a talking thermometer that I know of. You can get some kind of clip for it as well to attach it to what you are measureing. You'd have to read more about it, or ask Dale Campbell for more

Some blinks have been able to read letters and numbers on computer screens using the Seeing With Sound software and a small video camera such as the sunglass mounted ones. I have not looked into the software yet beyond reading a few posts on it but it is free and the user list is friendly.
