RE: Devcon Files

2002-11-07 Thread John Beynon
It came through eventually but remember that it was probably mailed out
during the Anthrax period and the US mail was pretty badly hit. I was
supposed to receive one from another conference which was confirmed as
shipped but never received here in the UK.

For those of you who attended DevCon 2002, presentations will be posted
to a web site in the next two weeks. You'll be able to view the
presentations online and download handouts and code samples. The URL and

Hey Lee,

I'm sorry for your family emergency.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any plans to make the files generally available, sorry.

You might want to contact customer service, I don't know what they might be able to do
in regards to this, but if something can be done, they'd be able to find out quickly.

http://www.macromedia.com/support/email/cscontact

I'd offer to help here, but honestly, it's really part of the purchase of admission,
and I can't give it away on lists, even if there's a good reason why you weren't
there. I hope that makes sense, and doesn't seem like I'm insensitive. :\

The presos are on the site but I'll be damned if I can remember the URL.
Plus there was a login and password for them.

It was on the little flyer Wednesday at Breakfast.

I was told that Macromedia would send us a CD in a couple of weeks.

At Devcon we were told that the session lesson files would be available
from Macromedia for download after the event. Has anyone found these?

In the past MM has provided a CD to participants after the event (LONG
after usually) but individual speakers were pretty much left on their
own as far as downloads.

I didn't hear anything different this year, but I may have missed it.
In any case you might get a definitive answer by writing the presenter
for the session you need. Most of the emails are in the DevCon guide.

I remember that. There was a username and password too. Does
anyone have the yellow flyer from Wednesday?

I'm interested as well. I got food poisoning on Tuesday night which
pretty much blew the rest of the conference for me. I missed everything
on Wednesday (and Tuesday night).

I've got a username and password from the signup where we could go in and
change our registration information, but that's not working. Was there a
*different* username and password? Crap! I've been DYING to get to those
files so I could re-do the remoting stuff we worked on. If there's a master
username and password, could someone just email it off list? My Macromedia
number was 10720. (only reason I remember it is because we had to use it to
log into those computers every damn time we wanted to check email...I'm not
*that* anal...heh)

Hi Andy,

I'm not sure how the users who attended can prove that they were there, but
if you can think of something let me know. I would really like the username
and password.

Maybe MM can email the attendees the URL and login for those who lost the
newsletter. Seems most of us have.

Vernon, can you help with this?

Thanks

the practice in the past).
