Hello all,
My '66 is coming along well, and basically the last
thing I need to do to get her road-ready is to fix a
charging problem I'm having (from reading prior posts,
that was there when I got it.
If I can find it, I'll post the CarQuest part#.

A 327 I just bought has no bolt in the center of the
crank I can put a wrench on to manually turn the crank
over. Any suggestions?

That's the funny thing... The casting # is for '67
(3903352), but the engine stamp on the front reads for
a '65 327(TO113EA). It's very odd.

I'm getting ready to put a used 327 in my car- I need
to put the heads back on, put the intake back on, and
drop the distributor back in.. All of the parts are
the original ones (save the intake), and the person
had the heads off to have a valve job done on them..
Once I have the motor

my 327 double-hump heads off for a magnaflux before
beginning to install them on my motor. I bought them
used and have never used them-
The guy called today and said they have no cracks
(good news) BUT he said they need new
to vortech
heads or are willing to take a step down in
performance with a differnt head. The cheapest way
to go is probably have them done.

I have the 1406 carb (electric choke) running on my
stock manifold, and out of the box mine was running
rich as well. You could really smell the gas exhaust.
The default setting for mine was the screws were
angled at approx 1:00, so I turned them CLOCKWISE to
