I do not think eliminating attachments is a good idea since it is the only way that

You have a misunderstanding here. The Norton antivirus program will
deactivate a virus once it comes into YOUR computer, but that

attached executable file. No repercussions tho as I deleted it each

Kris, my Norton Virus Checker stated that the virus was most definitely
in the attachment to the email Saba sent.
