Hello,
I'm having some trouble getting my Davinci DM6446 EVM to boot off of
my NFS server. I can mount the filesystem, but the kernel won't
boot. The boot is getting stuck with this error:
request_module: runaway loop modprobe char-major-0-20481
In setting up the system, I copied the

Did you use 'cp -a' on the filesystem copy? I don't think cp

That was my problem also. I inherited my Davinci project from another
developer here who had registered our 6446 in his name. Once that was
resolved, no problems with the TI site for software updates...

Have you tried cycling your ethernet on the server side and nfs server
with
ifdown eth0
ifup eth0
or
service nfs restart?
You can also ping your server from another machine to verify that it's
alive.
Hope that helps,

Hi everyone,
I am using the SDK v1.30 release on the DM6446, and none of the demos
will run for me.
When I run the decode demo, I get the following error.

NO, u-boot has nothing to do with the IOCTL. it is the davincifb
driver in the OS that causes trouble. There are other compatibility
issues with the new SDK 1.3. Code migrations are needed

Yes. At least it is broken with old demos from all the vendors,
including TI itself
This is for the DM6446, not the 355, but I found that I had to modify
ti-davinci/drivers/media/video/Kconfig and ti-davinci/include/media/
davinci/ vid_encoder_types.h as well.
