and FLDIGI, I noticed FLDIGI in 8/500 Olivia would NOT decode at all
if the RS ID box in the upper right-hand corner of FLDIGI was
checked. It decoded fine when unchecked.

It IS UNCHECKED but symptom persist.., no decode when RS ID box is checked.

With lots of WINMOR testing taking place, I decided to load up FLDIGI
today and compare its ARQ capabilities. However, my recent fresh
download and install of FLDIGI crashes within 10 seconds of booting.

While awaiting Winmor, the only real alternatives are NBEMS/FLARQ,
ALE, or PSKMAIL. ALE is, in my opinion, the best conceptually. It
is free and does not need any fancy modems. It does require a
network of stations world-wide and a fairly hefty (good SNR) signal
