I've been running SRW application (OCLC Research SRW Server 2.0) with
DSpace 1.5.x for quite some time now. After I upgraded to DSpace 1.6.2
I cannot seem to make it work. When I compile the code i get 7 errors
with deprecated classes (below). Any ideas whats wrong and how can I
fix it?

It works fine with smaller filer, say 1-2 megabytes, but when I try to

Realising that this is outside the scope of dspace, we have a problem
related to a javascript for our xmlui on ie. The following code we find
works perfectly
This should be fairly simple to implement. We have implemented a simple
Refworks export at: tds.terkko.helsinki.fi/dspace.
It basicly uses a simple PHP script to produce Refworks tagged format and
then calls back a Refworks built-in importer to import the produced text.

Thank you all for the tips you sent. I managed to solve the issue by
re-setting the system locales et .bashrc. The new server had default
LANG and other LOCALEs set to 'C'. After setting them to 'fi_FI.UTF-8'
and runnin filter-media -f, th extracted texts appear ok.

We have removed the automatical Community / Collection listing from
the front page and replaced it with static (HTML) list with headings
and separators for clarity. This is all hard-coded in structural.xsl.

get unauthorized, allthough username and password are the same as
DSpace admin. Should I set some specific authorizations for
collections that I want to be able to do POST or what would do the

At the moment Dspace uses input-forms.xml to map different forms for
each collection. Has any effort been made to allow administrators to
do this via web UI?
This would greatly reduce the need for system-admins to touch DSpace
installation and should be added to future feature requests.

for integration of DSpace and other systems, I think the only thing
we're missing is SWORD tutorial, which would point us a way to go. Is

Strangely, recently it had stopped working again allthough I hadnt
really changed anything. I re-installed Netbeans, checked out fresh
source from SVN (tried both 1_5_1 and 1_5_x) but I always got build
failed.

Setting up separate handle servers for each DSpace instance is rather
simple; just set up individual configurations and define different
ports for each, say 2641, 2642 and so on. This is propably the easiest
and as far as I know the only way to listen to multiple ports.
