Does anybody know offhand where the labels on checkboxes (e.g.
remove and selected in English) are actually set? I've trawled
through messages.xml, structural.xsl, and a bunch of Java and I just
can't find them.

This may kill any other searchboxes you have. If that's a problem,

that, wouldn't you just prevent or catch them in the first place?

This is odd, because the file 'contents' is there, reading permissions
are ok and all files listed in 'contents' ale there too.
When I've gotten this error, it's meant that permissions on the

possible, what I would do is rename your customized
JSPs (so you don't have to delete them, but DSpace will use the
default ones on restarting) until you find the guilty party.
