Hi,
Having read most, most likely all, messages I want to share some of my
thoughts.
1. Automatic uploads, possibly one QSO at a time, is not in my plans. My
main reason is that I expect that it requires more support than I'm willing
to provide. If something goes wrong, they call or write me
Well put Jerry. --* SPOILER ALERT -- what follows is somewhat long and
detailed and carries quite technical language. If that bores you.LOOK

When I made my earlier post complementing the software, I didn't expect the
small wave of negative rebuttals I would get. Ahhh, but
Sure, I would be willing to pay for it. Can Paul give me a quote?

And if Paul (developer) were to implement these things you ask for, would
you be willing to pay for it? The man and his family have to eat too.
Or how about this, would you be willing to pay an annual fee for upgrades
to DX4WIN ? Other loggers with robust features demand this.

There is no reason why we all have to be resigned to the fact that DX4WIN
must be frozen in time and there will never be any more enhancements. Paul,
after a seven year hiatus, recently added FT4 and FT8 as new modes and
provided support for QRZ.COM XML integration, along with some other nice
I must say I have also been a dx4win user for 20+ years and I have

very satisfied with it's operation.
That being said I have tried all the programs a fore mentioned here in

Hello Luc,
Try this:
File > Awards > WAZ > Confirmation.
Make sure both QSL Card and LoTW are checked. When DX4WIN was written, WAZ
did not accept LoTW confirmations.

Hello.
A doubt.
I have just been confirmed via LoTW a QSO of the year 1999, and curiously
it is one of the zones that I was missing in 10 meters, just zone 18.
I import the LoTW file into the DX4WIN, and indeed, when going to that QSO,
the Y of confirmed appears in the LoTW box.
Later I ask for
As long as you are happy with whatever logging program you are using and you
are having fun with the hobby, that's all that matters.
Some people drive Fords and some people drive Chevrolets. What ever turns
you on. The main thing is, have fun.

rue Bruce, the search is just great with DX4Win.
But the program is not being adapted to the changes in our ham world...
FT8, LoTW, Clublog...
Is it that hard to implement these improvements ?
All other programs do that, why can't Clublog do it too ? Is it that hard ?
But no matter what we
I agree 100% with Mike and Tim. I have gotten into discussions with several
of my friends over the phone that use other logging programs. If I ask them
a question about how many countries they have confirmed on a certain band or
some other information, they muddle around and can't figure out

It is not a question of being satisfied, it is a question of being
totally ignored by the developpers.
Yes, DX4Win does a lot of nice things, it does everything most hams
expect from a logging program.
But any request for update is totally ignored : no reply whatsoever.
But I am repeating
To those "leaving" DX4WIN.I'll say Goodbye to you, adios.and

I agree with what Branko wrote. I've had DX4WIN since I bought it with
floppy disks. I spent money but no new features, I chose Swisslog. Hi

Goodbye Norma Jean, goodbye DX4win.
After much deliberation, I decided that DX4win was no longer my choice
after 20+ years of use. The main reason is Paul's lack of collaboration and
waiting for updates on the dropper. We all paid this program fairly and
stayed on it thanks to the JIm AD1C.
