As a short term measure I want to transfer my DX4WIN V7 from my Xp machine to a W7 machine. (I will then do the upgrade to V8 a little later) I think I have seen that I can just copy the whole folder from one machine to the other, is this correct or does it not apply if changing from Xp to

I've gotten used to the fact that DX4WIN isn't going to connect to my newer radio, but when entering contacts it would be nice if it would stay on my band instead of jumping to a packet spots band. Can I get the logging window to ignore the packet spots?de Dick NY1E

Thanks to Jim and others for the help. I have now installed V7 on my second hard drive, by copying the complete folder, where it opened OK except for the file that is needed for using the LPT port (which I don't need). I had noticed that my install of V8 is in C:\ so I was going to ask
