earth loops. If moving to another power socket- as in moving to
another room cures it.
How about using mains isolation transformers so only connection
K2-linear really is the coaxial feeder. Or battery power K2.

clean with no clicks and no noise on his CW sidebands while he was
running barefoot.

Under typical home circumstances, the 110 VAC is simply on one side of

Yes, indeed, the source is the HV xfmr in the amp. No other equipment in
the shack is affected by it, including any other

My K1 died after several years of fine service. Very little of any RF
power output. Although the display suggests full power is there, the
external wattmeter shows a watt or less. Checked the wattmeter with the

Great post Ron, this is the reason I have stuck with the Elecraft reflector.
And also why I now own all three elecraft rigs. I have learned so much by
reading the discussions even when they do not apply to me or seem important.
