A good friend of mine wrote the following to me, and I was hoping I might
get some comments from this list. He is working on incorporating an
Elecraft noise blanker into his old KWM-380.
I looked at the noise blankers for the Elecraft K1 and K2 and they seem to
be fine for my

I was hoping there might be an Icom AH-4 Antenna Tuner
expert out there who maybe knows a good way to remote the
tuner with a non-Icom rig, such as a K2. (If you are
familiar with the
AH-4, it has a 4-conductor control wire system that
integrates it nicely with most newer Icom rigs, and
I'll be taking a group into the Three Sisters Wilderness (in
south central Oregon) for a four-day backpacking trip,
combined with a nice climb to the top of South Sister. The
K1 is coming with me on this trip, and each night around
7:00-8:00 Pacific Daylight Time (5:00 UTC), I'll be trying

Oops. I forgot to mention I'll be on the air from the
wilderness starting Thursday evening, August 5th, through
Saturday evening, August 7th!
