Yes, wondering how that will affect connection of a XV144? No impact. The XV144 attaches to different BNC connectors on the KXV3. YOU can have an XV144, XV22 and XV432 attached to the K3 and still connect (or not connect) the 6m preamp as you desire. 73, Lyle KK7P
