often gets distorted (bent) as a result.
Let me clarify. The speaker frame can get distorted in shipping while not
installed in the radio. I've never had a repeat problem after correcting
the initial distortion.

I'm helping a friend out who bought a 222 transverter from
Elecraft but wants to use it with his TS850S. The 850 will
only go down to 9 watts and the Elecraft wants a max of 8
watts, any help out there???
The TS-850S doesn't have such an output, at least not according to the

stinger pointing forward from the top of the vertical stabilizer. This
is an HF antenna.

Then I suspect you have older DSP firmware. The current version, which
supports the front panel shortcuts, is Ctl 3.10 Please see the KDSP2

I tried using VOX as the PTT for digital soundcard modes but that

As a newcomer to digital modes, one thing still puzzles me. Sometimes,
a station will come back to me several HZ above where I have called
him. I have to move to his frequency, by repositioning my arrow on his
waterfall trace so I can decode him. Then on successive overs we seem
to walk up

The suggested 4 Bar system does seem to work using SSB for the PSK.
Sorry for adding yet more confusion to the mix. I am running firmware
that is in field test and should be released next week. The statement I
made I believe to be true for the firmware I am running. I haven't gone

Is there any harm done using a mono to stereo adapter in the line out jack in
order to get the signal (no subreceiver installed) in both channels? This
will presumably short-circuit the right channel output on the jack. I am not
using any any of the pseudo-stereo modes.

My NUE-PSK Digital Modem arrived today...
If anyone sees a problem, or knows a better way, please let me know.
I suggest using the LINE IN and LINE OUT jacks on the K3. The NUE-PSK
modem has no isolation transformers in the audio, and if you are using a
wall wart or other non-battery supply,
