No one knows for sure how long the FELV vaccine is good. But when I had my
outbreak two years ago all the cats who had been vaccinated once were
negative. It had been many years since I had vaccinated them and there was
no boosters given. Cats that had never been vaccinated were in the group
I just posted a tribute to Junior on my website. There is a picture of him
as a baby. He is a very condensed version of his life. Today is the three
week anniversary of when he joined his brother Tiny in heaven. He touched my
life and I will always remember him.

FELV. It is hard to treat and took a over a month to clear up. He was
already blind in one eye but left the good eye partially blind as well. You

Well I am concerned it may be more than just infection. He acts totally
normal though. So it is not really bothering him. He does have the rinny
eyes typical of herpes. He had this last year with the initial onslaught of

I always thought heartworms may have been the cause of Tiny's sudden death
last Christmas day. He was Felv positive, but his death seemed unrelated it
was quick, but not pleasant to witnesss. I had even told a vet the summer
before he died that i worried he either had heartworms or asthma. He had
when in heat. After my experience
with Daisy last spring, I do not want to deal with a cat in heat. They are a
real pain.

same. The tablets are 22.7 mg and he gets half. He has gotten diarrhea with
Baytril, so I would keep an eye out for that. Sounds like Whitey has a good

Junior is currently on Baytril it kills all the good bacteria in the gut and
gives him diarreah. So As soon as he gets on this I get him on probiotics.
He has not had any diarrhea. His dosage is 22.7mg per day. I
high dose of Baytril.have you asked your vet
about it?
