Why don't you use Open Office ? Create a .pdf , then print from Kpdf.
There's a .bin , if you don't want to compile OO ( 5 hr here).

Well, finally, the trouble was the file system.
Now I have changed it from reiserfs to ext2. No troubles at all, as you said.
