[gentoo-user] OpenOffice remerge failed

No, I would never add a temporary fix to make.conf ! I entered 'USE="xmlsec" emergeu libreoffice', where 'emergeu' is an alias for 'ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~amd64" emerge' (yes, I know, howls of horror from the bystanders, but I've been doing it that way for years without problems). I was surprised, as the error msg I got was different from the one quoted earlier in the thread & in the bug. -- ,, SUPPORT ___//___, Philip Webb ELECTRIC /] [] [] [] [] []| Cities Centre, University of Toronto TRANSIT`-O--O---' purslowatchassdotutorontodotca

[gentoo-user] libreoffice 3.5.2.2 paste special fails
This issue seems to have come up with the latest update to 3.5.2.2. I cut rows from one doc then want to paste them into another and use paste special to shift rows down. Howerver, paste special doesn't appear in the context menu (it used to in the previous version), and if i choose it from the Edit menu, nothing happens. Any idea how to troubleshoot this? Any sense in trying rm -fr ~/.libreoffice? Has anyone used it with LO 3.5.0.1 ? It works for me. I just open a PDF in LO and it opens like any other supported file. I wonder if you start lowriter from terminal if there will be any useful messages output when you try to read/write a PDF. There are just too many variables in this sort of vague "doesn't work" scenario so all you can do is start eliminating outside influences/suspects. Seems no one else has jumped in saying they suffer from this too so its something unique to you - I am using 3.5.2 (just upgraded) and its fine. I had 13GB left on /var when it died at which point /var had zero. I made a new partition (/mnt/junk) with nothing else on it and built libreoffice there. In another terminal I ran while true do df -h /mnt/junk | grep junk sleep 300 done df began at 0GB and grew to 16GB where it stayed (I was away when the build finished) So I am pretty sure that at the end it did indeed use 16GB. allan PS thanks again for rc single
