I've just rebooted my Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS server with TomCat7 and Geoserver 2.2.4 after installing some security patches for the system. But now Geoserver want start anymore. When I look in catalina.out I see these errors: INFO:

Since it seems I have broken my server again after updating my Ubuntu system (see my mail earlier today) I'm going to create yet again a new server. Because v2.3 is already in release mode I'm considering that version instead of v2.2.5. In the last months I've build and rebuild several servers

I was under the impression that GS 2.2.x ran fine under Java 7? The recommendations for Java 6 was during the early releases of Java 7. I have been running GS 2.2.4 with Java 7 (along with GeoNetwork) without problems (yet) on Windows 2008 Server, although I haven't really pushed things.
