Library or another non-Jewish place where s/he is asked to work on Shabbat or
it is a hiring condition . The Council voted in January to change the SSC
name to SSCPL to include our colleagues
Mazal tov to Elliot. He was my first choice for this year.
His accomplishments at the Michigan University are a testament to his

I have learned a new word from the librarian Henry in the book THE TIME
TRAVELER’S WIFE. He says: “ I speak librarish”. Our language is not obvious to

I take this opportunity to credit Barbara for my achievements. Barbara was one

still in Detroit, I imagined her as AJL president, but then she concentrated
on her family. Later she turned down the nomination to become

synagogue from another denomination. Public libraries in large cities, in
areas where many Orthodox Jews live make sure to have a collection that serves
