I have never had this problem with Window-Eyes, but I have this problem
with Jaws, and it baffles me. I'm running the latest Jaws, the latest
firefox, and can duplicate this 100 percent of the time. Steps follow:

the folder where your contact files are stored. If so, then simply delete

Try the JAWS convenient OCR feature. Press JAWS key+spacebar, release, then o
for OCR, then d for document. It can take a few moments, but the operation
usually produces a decent conversion in a separate window.

But: go to the list of documents and select some document you want to
delete. Then press application key to see what option you have. Maybe there
is something like "delete the selected document".
