assistance of Sue Babbs, we have the motifs exchanged during this first

i have finally managed to get the computer plugged in and have finished up
this document and its conversion so you all can see what was exchanged.
the variety is creative and impressive.  i did not do stats this time but
will think about it up the road for the next one.  traveling these last two
months has put a crimp in my efficiency of things.  thanks for your
patience.

If you have a desire to see what was exchanged, please contact me off list (
linhud...@gmail.com) and i will email this document in PDF format to you.
i am still traveling but will get this to you asap.  miss the computer and
the 24" monitor.  using the cell leaves a lot to be desired.  LOL

The motifs are now starting to wing themselves across oceans.  Hopefully
all will be sent off by September 1.  Progress has been reported to be
right on track with lots of pretty lace pieces finding new homes and
bringing pleasure.  Don't we enjoy receiving and seeing new lace techniques
to add to our collections with love.

I am receiving details on each piece so we will be tempted in new venues.
Thank you participants for spreading more lace ideas across our
membership.  I look forward to another exchange again next year.

We are down to the last days for sign ups for the motif exchange but don't
worry if you are a day or so behind.  I will make it happen.  Just contact
me (*linhud...@gmail.com *) and it will be worked
out.  Also, if you are delayed in mailing your motif to your partner, let
your partner and me know so we can take the worry out of the wonderful
anticipation.  This is to be FUN not a job or chore.  I will be sending out
the exchange partner pairings in a day or so - no later than 5/20 but
sooner if able.  I am always anxious to know who will be getting my lace
and what far away place I will be receiving mail from.  But if you were on
holiday or didn't see the announcement until the last minute - join in
anyway.  Nothing ventured, nothing gained.  I believe there is time to get
a motif made and in the mail by September 1st.



This year the schedule will go like this:

May 1-18 Sign Ups

May 20 Exchange partner assignments made and emailed out

September 1All bookmarks should be in the mail, please



Please send me your name, snail mailing address, email address, how many
motif(s) you wish to make and any geographical location(s) you prefer, if
any.  Thank you.  Once you have your motif(s) made, please send a photo to
me (linhud...@gmail.com) with your partner's name to present the array of
motifs flying across the oceans.



If this is your first time, you are going to have lots of pleasure.  If you
have been doing this for years, you know how much fun it can be.  Any type
of lace and pattern is appropriate.  Any skill level is welcome.  This is
"creative license" at its best.  Don't be shy - shine.  May the lace bug
bite for lots of fun.

Wow, what a wonderful response so far and many days yet to join in the
fun.  I wish to thank those who have been responsive so far for your faith
in me doing the job.  I hope many more of you will join in the fun.  There
is nothing like the sense of accomplishment for making a project happen.
Coming up with a motif has challenges all its own.



Please send your photos to me (linhud...@gmail.com) and I will make sure
you have an array of what transpired.  It won't be as professionally done
as Jenny does for us, but you will see the results of the exchange if you
so desire.



As a reminder, this time the schedule will go like this:

May 1-18 Sign Ups

May 20 Exchange partner assignments made and emailed out

September 1All bookmarks should be in the mail (receipt by 7-10
days after this)



Basically the same guidelines apply as the bookmark and card exchanges so
if you have participated in the past, you sort of know what to do.  If you
