Sorry forgot to mention why I create a CD-ROM over uploading to the Internet - my immediate family members have let me know they don't want to find themselves on the Internet. So I create CD-ROMs with a big note on it - please don't publish this information on the Internet. Cheers Tracy Legacy

I use Passage Express, it can save the whole Legacy file (including private notes/events/addresses) and can be copied to a CD-ROM. I go the extra distance of creating a reports as web pages and as pdf, I add photos and gedcom files for those who use other family history programs. Its a lot of

Generally, i find family are only interested in the finished product. If i tell them to first download the family tree program, then they are not bothered, if i supply the family tree program, its still to much effort. I've realized that you have to give it so that one click and its all in front

Depends how computer-illiterate your family is. Mine is pretty bad. In regards to the photos: If your recipient can follow this, they can put the folder of photos on their own hard-drive and then re-link them using View Current List of Multimedia Locations under Options/Customize/Locations.
