Just to answer your PS. The link to upload to Ancestry Online Family Trees was added in Legacy 3.0. It did not exist in Legacy 2.0. I cannot comment on why it is still there but Ancestry online family trees one of the biggest, if not the biggest, place for users to upload their family tree
