Currently it seems quite difficult to get the search function to really find everything that might be in a lyx-document. One example: Open a new document, language is set to English. Enter a word enclosed in smart quotes. Change document language to German with the corresponding smart quotes.

With 2.2.3 on mac 10.10 the spelling panel has now overlapping boxes. Which makes them very hard to use. Checking 2.1.3 and alpha1: those do not seem to have this problem. Suspiciously there does not seem to be anything related to this on trac? Can anyone confirm that it is indeed a regression?

The UserGuide currently is a real trouble maker. The PDFs exported from 2.2 or 2.3beta bring all PDFKit-based PDF viewers their knees in macOS 10.12. This also applies to the PDF downloadable from the LyX site. It does not happen in older versions of OS X nor with Adobe Reader and Safari or
