Hi there,
My university has special requirements for the theses I submit.
Layout, fonts etc. are pretty straightforward to set up in ConTeXt.
The one part I'm struggling with is citations / bibliography.
I have to use the german citation style with footnotes. Essentially

Thanks, Garulfo. I don't use \definedfont in my real document so I should be
able to port it to my use case. And now I've learned about foregroundstyle. (I
was already a bit perplexed that \framed has no style key.)
Just out of curiousity, perhaps someone (Hans? Wolfgang?) knows more about

Yes, you could also abuse \sc for another style.

pass just a name to \definefontfamily
and some font is chosen for each style but this can fail because all
depends on the information in the font files. When you use a typescript
each alternative is associated with a certain font file and almost no
guess work is required.
Then, for fonts used
the script. Everything
works fine.
But now I would like to use a second path variable in a style file
instead of this long relative path:
\setupexternalfigures[directory={../../../hs.pub.bilder},local]
Any idea how to achieve this?

you can use the reported values and feed them into whatever
i could add something to the select style but i guess then there is no
uniformity in how users do this
Many thanks for the new stuff, Hans.
This could be an approach:
\starttext
\completecontent

The t-vim module includes a pre-generated css file which provides the color and
style values for the default color schemes.
The module provides a macro \vimcssfile, which is the complete path of the file
(basically the value of `resolvers.resolve("full:vimtyping-default.css")`).

You can reduce the size of the test by storing the pattern in a table:
\startluacode
local background_one = {
align
\NC\NR
# \stoptabulate
#}
#\starttext
#\startluacode
# local background_one = {
# align = "middle",
# style = "type",
# background = "DiagonalRule",
# }
#
# local letters_1 = { "A", "B", "C
\NC \bf #1 \NC\NC\NR
\stoptabulate
}
\starttext
\startluacode
local background_one = {
align = "middle",
style = "type",
background = "DiagonalRule",
}
local letters_1 = { "A", "B", "C", "D", "E
