On a K10D, I did a quick comparison between the
12-24mm and the 24-90mm at 24mm f5.6. One shot
full of bricks, trees, shade sun, taken twice,
15 seconds apart.. The 12-24 is quite a bit
better, especially in the corners.
Color saturation is very slightly better with the 12-24.

contacts are basic...

I think it works as well (or as bad) as on a Z1 whic means it should
work OK most of the times.
You get access to M,Tv,Av,P. Be sure to let the adapter on A
position just like you have to with regular Pentax lenses.

I like much the Optio MX (and Optio MX4, which is the same but 4MP
instead of 3MP).
Its only real problem is shutter lag, lkike about any digital PS :(.
Some are a bit better. I remember that the Pentax S5i was among the
best on that aspect.
If focus is done first, lag becomes very short.
The original Tokina 28-70 Pro is the last zoom that Angenieux made
for SLR, bought and rebadged by Tokina. Further Tokina 28-70 and
28-80 models developped from there I guess.

This is an older lens, affectionately known as the Stovepipe, I presume
for its total lack of style. It's a straight up, no frills, no nonsense,
telephoto lens.
It also (if it's the same one I have) a very close focusing lens, too. It'd
be a nice versatile compact 300mm lens for someone...

Pentax Canada rep told my retailer that the FA 50/1.4 is now
discontinued and that they won't supply back-orders. Pentax Canada
gets their lenses directly from Japan, so I guess the lens is no
longer produced in Japan.

the MZS, where the Battery Grip touch. The Portuguese dealer say that they

I tried this lens in comparison with M-200/4. I took the same
picture with both lenses, sunny day, f8 probably. I could hardly
distinguish the two lenses (resolution and contrast). Same
I found on the WEB that an excellent cleaner for fungus is Ponds Cold
Cream (or facsimile), It's used in Olympus agreed service centers.
You rub a tiny dab into the lens with your finger tip and clean off
with alcool. If some spider web remains, reapply cream and rub
harder...

My understanding from talking to the reps
As colors don't relect the same amount of light, Pentax lists the
exposure compensation needed for each color. I translated the names
into real color patch (with pencils) with the needed compensation and
taped it on the meter.
