More than likely they were shooting SCALA. It is unbelievably beautiful stuff. Nothing touches this stuff for beautiful blacks and fine gradations. It's only downfall, It's expensive and it can only be developed by specialized labs. If you are into BW you own it to yourself to try this stuff.
