The horn color looks like a repro to me. The odd thing is, it looks like it
has the correct bead on the outside where the bell joins the neck. It is

I use pH decreaser from the swimming pool to remove the zinc plating. It is
sold as a dry powder and so much easier to keep around than acid. Just a
little
bit disolved in water will work very well to strip the zinc before heat bluing
and oil quenching,
