I'd like to change the numbering for refentrys from roman to arabic
in the DSSSL stylesheets as i think that most readers are not that
familiar with roman numbers that they can decode eg. XLVIII as 48
*and* roman numbers screw up the indentation in the TOC

I think this need to be discussed. What coding standard would
like the phpdoc authors follow, if any. I think we should follow
one. Either we choose the PEAR coding standard, which needs to
be extended somewhat for our needs (eg. variable names,
comment weiting, output sample
Following a standard seems logical, following the PEAR coding standard
sounds good to me. It's in the manual, makes sense, and is known to many.
It is actually not in the manual anymore. PEAR has its own manual
now. The PEAR stuff in the main manual is not generated for output.

I have changed the script responsible for the index
and TOC generation. It is a major rewrite. It seems
correct on my machine. Although I have not experienced
any missing part problems (XSLT, YP or any other),
but more problems in the appendix section.

The rendering at php.net is now wrong and it seems to me that there
isn´t any rendering, at least for function prototypes.
So to be correct the current rendering does not include
the type in the optional part... The first is from
php.net, the second is from dynamicwebpages.de:
