Just a few things I've found this weekend @ Home Depot/Lowes
a. 5x7 Aluminum Step Flashing 10 pieces ~2.00 (85-068) (roofing Dept) nice
flat rather thin aluminum pieces(Amerimax Home Products) too thick for good
pinholes but flexible enough to play with. Also real good for doing modern
tintypes
I don't know about that James... I think it was the people who ran this
gave us the opportunity to join together 'round the world that deserve the
BIG ROUND OF APPLAUSE!

Paper works just fine in a negative holder.
You can prototype your design in black foam core gaffers tape.. works fine
you might not even take it to plywood. I say this after not using foam

I believe the 553 fits a 550 back. They show up on ebay frequently are
WONDERFUL. I like them much more than the single sheet backs the film is
about 1/2 the price of single sheets. I picked up a couple of them so I can
load several type of film...still cheaper than single sheet...

plywood (no voids). Cut out the wood bigger than the negative (but smaller
than the glass...) on 2 pieces. Cut the wood to fit your enlarger. I would
flat black the wood after you smooth it out.
