Thank every one for the propositions.

Hello Rietvelders,

I propose that you could secure powder in a thin layer on a single piece of
kapton or other substrate using dilute collodion or vacseal. I find that both
work best when diluted quite a bit. Collodion will sometimes peel off of its
substrate, while vacseal does not (remains sticky) and can be dissolved in
acetone. I haven't personally done transmission, I just know that those two
materials can be very helpful :) best of luck!

Dear Pr. Francois GOUTENOIRE,

In case of kapton tape there is a chance of getting diffraction peak at low
angle, I prefer to use magic scotch tape.

Some times to avoid the background from this tape as well, I use small punch in
the thick paper card and pack the material in that hole for transmission XRD,
this I find better than any thing else.

With best regards,

Dear Rietveld users,

Following Pr. Francois Goutenoire's question, I would like to add another
question: I wonder how do you deal with electrostatic powders sample
preparation though in Reflection mode. Do you use Kapton/mylar tape or any
solvent to disperse the powder?
How does it affect the results?

Thanks in advance,
Gili
