Hi Folks,
Actually, here is some more detail as to the reasons for the price
increase. In addition, please bear in mind that that prices haven't
been raised in approximately 2 years and even with this increase we are
priced very competitively.
The new feature/benefits and more to come are as
We've already renewed this morning.
From our point of view even at the $170 per year more would still be far
less costly than the cost of finding, evaluating and implementing another
solution. Not to mention the potential loss of business if our customers
were not happy with the replacements
We've been using Sniffer for almost 5 years now and the price hasn't
increased in that time. It's overdue, really.

We've always paid under the 'monthly' plan.
How will this be affected?
Should we switch to the yearly plan?

Hi Dave,
Your license is set to expire on 01/26/2006, so if receive the renewal

existing clients. If you wait until after the 1st, your educational

Hi Michael,
How about false positive processing? That's our biggest headache, but it

Is it possible to pay low price extend your subscription more than one year
at the current price or would you only be able to get 1 more year at the low
price and have to pay later years at the full rate?

Might I suggest a visit to: http://www.lexus.com/cpo/
and a graduated price increase over the next two years?
A one or two year old Lexus is just as nice as a brand
new one, and would be a lot easier on our already
strained IT budgets.
Thanks,

The short notice is a little disappointing.
However it is the justifications that are indicating that the provider
of this solution is may no longer a viable business that really
concerns me.
Sounds like we need to start looking for Plan "B" today.

Ah-ha! I think I see now. They need the money to buy new calculators for
their staff! (see below). That said, even if they are right and it's a 34%
price increase, it is still unheard of from any company I've ever dealt
with.

But in all fairness for the sake of math how can you round up from 1.5231
to 53%. Should you have rounded down to 52%.

Great. I've tracked ours and it is almost always 3 days, and sometimes up
to 5 days when it goes over a weekend. This usually results in multiple
reports for false positives for a given rule.
Appreciate anything you can do to speed that up.

Thomas, if your company cannot afford the rather small monetary increase,
