in the past days my server receives alot of spam from known and valid mailhosts
(aim, hotmail, etc) and I am looking for a solution to greylist/blacklist those
attempts.
If I look into the mailheaders the receiving mail-address is not even listed
(guess th BCC field is used).

i know this is not a spamdyke issue, but since here are very smart heads i
thought i give it a try and I hope you don’t mind. I posted already on 3 forums
and contacted my provider and plesk support … with no solution at all.
My system configuration:
- Plesk 9.2.1 with QMail und
I'm not familiar with Plesk, but I believe that if you set the sticky bit on
the email folder
(/var/qmail/mailnames/DOMAIN.tld/USER/Maildir/new), then the individual
emails will be created with the owner of that folder instead of the owner of
the process that runs deliverquota.

/usr/local/psa/admin/bin/mail_auth_dump does not exist (I think it is gone with
the Plesk9 release)

thanks alot for your suggestions. I played a bit around and for some weird
reasons the server works now.
I ran mchk 2 more times which fucked the whole machine ... email receiving was
dead for an hour, or so. Installed a local testsystem and compared the

There is a (in my oppinion superb) spamdyke control panel (for Plesk)
available. I am not sure, if this list supports file attachments: I

It's possible to translate this control panel to english and to

SCP comes with german (lang/de.inc.php) and englisch (lang/en.inc.php)

My users receive more and more spam last time.
Same with me, i receive (for about 2 weeks now) more and more viagra spam
again. About 10-20 a day - which is still for from what i had before (around
1000 spam a day - on my account only). But somehow it is getting more again.

The dyndns client is part of my router software, which could be altered. Did
i mention that cronjob scripts are PERFECT! ? ^_^

Hello again,
my cram-md5 authentication problem drives me nuts. It seems as if my
server supports cram-md5 and has no errors with it. If i telnet into my
server, *without* spamdyke enabled and use cram-md5 i can successfully send
emails, if i enable spamdyke the logfile outputs a authentication
Last night i tried to figure out the issue with The Bat and my server.
The Bat tries to autenticate with cram-md5, even if it is set to plain.
My version of Qmail (installed by plesk on debian) seems to have issues with
cram-md5, but i couldn't figure fully out why.
I will recompile QMail and add
English, please.

I just ran into a DENIED_RBL_MATCH issue with The Bat
(http://ritlabs.com/) users. The user uses the latest version of The Bat
with SMTP Auth and no SSL Authentifications on and gets denied due the
spamhaus listing .
I guess it is the same issue as with thunderbird, which uses a wrong

I disabled the DENIED_IP_IN_(CC)_RDNS feature, instead of whitelisting it.
Shoud i reenable it (anyway what is it good for?)?

I have following issue with spamdyke (3.1.7) on qmail 1.03:
In my logs several DENIED_GRAYLISTED from the same ip, from the same email
address, tot he same email adress appear which never gets ACCEPTED.
For example, following times matches a DENIED_GREYLISTED:

greylist-files were owned by the
wrong user and Spamdyke couldn't
overwrite them. All greylist-files should be owned be the certain user.
In my system it's
qmaild.nofiles.

I would love to get my hands on that package as well. I am working on a log
analyzing script, too and would love to see how the scripts were built.
My script uses bash+php for dumping to a database and a plesk frontend for
filtering / analyzing.
