I was wondering if there is a free database in existence that does not
only contain which train/bus lines stop where, but the arrival/departure
times as well. I couldn't find one so far.
I know Google transit has this aim, but only very few transport
companies are participating.
The OrbView-3 imagery outlines are available in my github fork of

Se ricordo bene è poi possibile anche impostare un livello di dettaglio

Nos hemos cruzado Cruz y yo en la respuesta de Paul Norman para la
importación de ELEMTEX.
Resumen: Vamos por buen camino pero hay que currar un poco más.
* Sería conveniente añadir algún proceso en Cat2Osm para filtrar
algunos nodos y asignar etiquetas a POI's.
* Es necesario un control

El script que comentas hace una revisión de nombres que está muy bien,
pero creo que los tiros van por otro lado. Por un lado se trataría de
eliminar los nodos con nombres raros como las parcelas ('P-1', 'P-2',
'IV', etc.). También he visto nombres que se repiten varias veces como

Una de las cosas que comentaban en la lista de imports, era el tema de las
relaciones multipolígono, que parece que son pesadas de procesar y podrían
causar problemas. He estado cotilleando otras ciudades (Paris, Nueva York,
Rentería, Rostock...) buscando ejemplos de ciudades que ya tengan

Looking further into the boundary data, it appears that on parts of RD
boundaries at sea that don't use the stair step pattern, a line 4.8 km or 3
miles away from the coast is used. Is there an easy tool available to generate
that 4.8 km range?

On the talk-ca list there have been a few discussion about problems
with flooded areas in southern Quebec. The conclusion seems to be
that the problems are due to the rendering of the coastline which only
gets updated every once in a while. The two cases are:

The tiles need to be rerendered and over large areas they're not always
detected as having changes so don't need to be rerendered.
I know you can do it manually on a per-tile basis really easily.
