of this driver.
On /dev i see this:

CDROM drive, only the last one detected will get the /dev/cdrom symlink.
In addition to this, we don't appear to handle DVD drives similarly. Do
Normal !!!, other linux distributions map any cdrom/dvd.

I updated to Gutsy from my 7.04 with all the patches applied and using
the alternate CD. After the update the new kernel 2.6.22-14-generic
hangs and I am only able to boot using the old 7.04 kernel
2.6.20-16-generic.

BTW, I don't know much about dependencies versioning but there is a
version mismatch between alsa-base (1.0.16) and alsa-utils/tools
(1.0.15). May this got something to do with alsamixer
I can confirm this bug is still active after upgrading to Hardy. I have
to add irqpoll to the kernel options to make ethernet work.

Me too, using Feisty (upgraded from Edgy). Summarizing:
1) gmplayer cannot scale to fullscreen.
2) mplayer can get fullscreen but with some flickering on the lower half of the
screen.

OK, this is what happened to me. I installed Ubuntu 7.04 with a dual boot with
Windows XP and I had an extra partition (sda8) to install another linux

Ubuntu 9.04 just installed, Gnome 2.26.1., Spanish.
In Add and remove applications (Añadir aplicaciones... in spanish)
window, the left-side menu bar have its items unlocalized and they are

setup disk' utility from 8.10. Not an upgrade, but a completely new

I want to notice that I managed to fix this problem by unloading
ehci_hcd and uhci_hcd modules manually before suspend. To made it
automatic I just add SUSPEND_MODULES=ehci_hcd uhci_hcd to /usr/lib/pm-
utils/defaults.

I have solved this bug.
The problem was with particular char for example with address 146.134.8.125 one
string is: Marco Antônio Raupp
I have solved with changing the encoding (local charset - ISO-8859-1) only for

I have updated to 9.10 from 9.04 and my desktop notes from the gnome
applet sticky-notes have gone. I had some important information on
those notes and I've not been able to recover them.
Future release upgrades should be able to remember sticky notes.
